plants arrived yesterday. they were in really good shape right out of the box. got them all potted up and resting for a little while til i can get them out into some shade. thanks juanitos!! really excited about all four of these.
at first i felt bad because i already have like 100-some odd...
does anybody have a few seeds for this ornamental lying around? i know - very late to be starting. not having luck finding them online anywhere! i'd be glad to pay for them, trade some seeds, pay shipping, whatever! <3
the best thing i ever did for my plants was stop using miracle grow potting soil. it's too dense and holds too much water. switched to promix hp and they LOVE THAT SHIT! :D
sorry for the houdini act, ya'll. past couple months have been....busy. we'll just leave it at that, heh. i will try to get some new photos and an update up when i get home from work tonight!
thanks, guys. there is a part of the front porch that doesnt get any direct sunlight until around 3pm right now. theres also a second "front porch" on the side - house is on a corner - that gets full sunlight in the morning, but only til about noon. i'll play around with both and see what I can...
hello, all!
at this point i have a few dozen plants that are anywhere from 1.5-2.5 feet in height. they've been under HPS indoors since they were really little.
i have read such varying information on the hardening process that i thought i should consult all of you wonderful people here...
I haven't been. Just trays on pads under domes. First try germ'd 47/50, second tray was around 60/72. Nothing different but never had the green funk before!
can't take a photo til i get home, but the surface of the mix i sowed seeds in is starting to develop some green algae/mold/whatever. i do keep the tray under a dome and on a heat pad. what should i do about this?
those, root photos, man! wow! looks amazing.
im germing in a coco-base seed starting mix (prefab from lowes). transplant into solos w/ promix HP. feeding cal mag and masterblend, slightly diluted at this point. currently under 2 lamp (4 bulb) t12s as seedlings, soon to be under HPS.
this thread has me completely rethinking all of the info i put into practice this year, lol. i am definitely going to try the coco under lights this fall.
