What are/were they in when they sprouted? Ideally once they sprout you get them air and light. I start my seeds in 3oz dixie cups in a closed container. 90F would be about the top of my comfort zone. A heat mat/pad without a thermostat is a gamble at best.

Setting your watering schedule by time is a recipe for disaster. The "feel" method is the best. Fill one of the containers your plants are in with dry growing medium. Feel the weight. When your containers with plants get close to feeling a similar weight then it's time to water.

Glad that helped spicy. You can use anything as a spacer, I just happened to have a bunch of the packing peanuts handy. I took a couple of shots this morning to show off the myco's effect on roots for another thread but am going to post them here too. I just love fuzzy roots! Too cool. :P
