I don't usually start collecting seeds for the next season so early, but this guy seems to be pretty rare. Does anyone have seeds, or could refer me to someone who does? Willing to pay or trade for seeds, though I'm assuming if you have C.flexuosum, I probably don't have anything interesting...
Things are starting to pick up for me.
Top to Bottom, Left to Right: Aji Lemon, Morouga Red Habanero, Brazilian Starfish, (not so) White Fatalii, MOA, Trinidad Scotch Bonnet, Aji Peruvian, Aji Cito, Fatalii
I'm starting to get some good picks as we get into late August. Picked these today after picking pods just 3 days ago.

This all sounds so awesome! I wasn't able to make it out last year, but I'm hoping to day trip it out on Saturday. It'll be great to put some faces to names :onfire:
Hey Bill,
I just picked this little guy this morning. This is what (I think) Cheiro Roxa look like when they get ripe. They get this light purple / pinkish color to them.
For me it depends on what you want to do with them. If you plan on making a sauce, freezing is actually a neat trick to make a smoother sauce. Like D3monic said, freezing them breaks down the cell structure a bit, so when they thaw out they are...not so crispy and fresh. But this is perfect...
Hey Bill, my Cheiro Roxa plants went through a big growth spurt the past 3 weeks, tripling in size. More tall than wide, like you said. They have a ton is small peppers going. From what I can tell they don't seem to get any bigger than a large marble. It also seems that the pods start off...
Thanks OCD, I've been waiting until I've got enough peppers to pull a sauce together, and I think I'm finally there. Now all I need to do is get off my butt and make it
Thanks OP! Its good to see your late start plants are starting to put out some pods too. Depending on how long the...
Nice little pull today. Left to right, top to bottom; Aji Lemon, Starfish, White Fatalii (though its kind'a yellow), some really nice Caribbean Red Habs, Aji Peruvian, one lonely little Cayenne
Last year bpwilly donated a couple plants to me, including a MOA that grew into a huge beautiful bush...that only produced a single pod.
Well, I kept the seeds and figured I'd give MOA another shot this year. Doesn't look like I have the same issue as last year.
This sucker is full of...
The temps have cooled off here in Seattle. We're alternating between one week in the 70's, the next back in upper 80's, and little rain. My plants seem to like this way better than the upper 90's we had a month ago, as I've seen a big growth spurt the past 3 weeks. Or...thats just their...
Garlic Confit
I know...its not a sauce...or even have peppers in it. But this is AWESOME! If you like baked garlic, try this. Its even better.
Harvested my garlic a few weeks ago. Each year about 10% of the bulbs I harvest are not storage worthy. They may have a bit of rot in a couple...
Thanks Chuck! For the Starfish I've been thinking about a very simple sauce. Something with few ingredients to try and highlight its flavors. Probably a mix of Starfish and Aji Peruvian peppers, some white onion, garlic, cane vinegar, some lemon juice, and salt.
Pull Update
Pulled my...
This is my first year growing the b.starfish. This is what mine look like. Just ate my first ripe pod a couple days ago. LOVED it. Sweetest hot pepper I've ever tried, with a long back taste of lemon candy. Heat was pretty mild
