greenhouse First 80 Plants In Greenhouse 02-22-09

Oh, don't get me wrong. I use Cross Country because I don't have room to start everything I would like. There's nothing wrong with that, but they still don't have all the plants I want. I like them for the quality of their plants and because they are organic. And I might add a second order this...

    2009 Grow Log

In your backyard? Fix your septic system, sir. Bugs do live outside. Yay! Not all of them are bad bugs, afterall. Sometimes bugs live inside, too; but I don't seem to be as squeamish as you. I'd squish the maggot and eat the pepper. Goose piddle, all you have to do is look at the problems...

I don't think they can live that far north. They would freeze to death in the winter.

Lizards eat bugs, some of which are beneficial, some of which are purdy (like butterflies) and some of which would hurt your peppers.

    2009 Grow Log

You're not getting off that easy. It doesn't have to be a difficult subject, and I would like to know what terrible sekret you've discovered about organic and natural soil gardening. There are a lot of people who prefer hydro to dirt growing, and while we might mercilessly rib each other, I...

    PhatMan Dereks Grow Log V2.0

In a peat pellet? No. Is that simple enough? There will be those who argue that it's ok, but you're asking for trouble if you do.

    Plant Out 3/5

Boy, that's a healthy anole! Great shot of him munching, too. As to planting out, it isn't just a matter of protecting from those late cold snaps. I'm far enough north of you to be concerned about the effect on soil temperatures. I sure don't want to coddle those peppers inside for months, then...

    Pete's Pepper Progress - 2009 Season

Which Osmocote? Most of their fertilizers are high nitrogen. With what is also in the soil, I think your plants are getting too much nitrogen. Until they can get more light, I would really back off the fertilizer.

Because you were in such a drought.

Some peppers just want to set fruit. No matter how much you pick buds off, they'll throw out more.

Oh Good - Now a Cyclone

Yeah, I live where we get brushed by hurricanes, rarely more then rain, but I understand how far out the rain bands extend. I do think it's a bit ironic that y'all are worried about too much rain at this point.

You gonna unpack that for us, or were you having an attack of giddiness you wanted to share?

Peppers need light as much as they need warmth. Break out the lights or take the dome off the germinater and get them some sunlight.
