    vendor Pepper Joe

Nah I was saying the cayenne was mislabeled as it is growing as a jalapeño. Cayenne and jalapeño are pretty easy to distinguish, so I'm pretty sure there was a screw up on their end. Actually paid more for the cayenne than he was charging for jalapeños so it was kind of a rip. I'm too...

I didn't have the best germination rates with the seeds I got from pepperjoe, but one big annoyance that has just come up is the Charleston cayenne I am growing from him is growing some of the prettiest jalapeños I've seen in the last month. I only had one of all of the cayenne seeds germinate...

    vendor Puckerbuttpeppercompany.com

IIRC the reaper seeds I ordered from Puckerbutt direct had about an 80% germination rate and took 3-4 weeks before I ever saw a single one pop up. They have been slow growing until about a month ago and finally exploded. They are now some of the biggest plants I have growing outside right now...

    dehydrators Nesco Dehydrator

Thanks for the responses guys, ended up going for the FD-80 square one. I'll let y'all know what I think after testing it out a bit. I've got a HTG Supply timer I'm not utilizing for indoor gardening anymore that I'm going to utilize with the dehydrator to take care of the lack of timer/power...

    dehydrators Nesco Dehydrator

Can someone give me some links to the specific model they have that they like?  I was talking with Pex last night and he recommended the American Harvest over the Snackmaster.  I see a few different versions/variations of these offered on places like Amazon and haven't come across the square...

    Epson salt spray

Interesting... thanks and sorry for having a slightly off topic question!  I was curious on the mix for epsom foliar feeding which is what brought the original question on in the first place.

    Epson salt spray

For all my experience growing other plants and new experience growing peppers, I must admit I have never done foliar feeding.  Does it make that big of a difference?  I just never liked the idea of salts and deposits building up on the leafs.  Rain from the sky (as opposed to spontaneous?) is...

    I feel so lucky ;-)

What I've tasted of orange lantern has been very good.  One of my favorites!  Looks like the pods are progressing nicely on those!  Especially the Red Savina!

Brown Phenotype - Red 7-pot Lava

Lol my fiancee was laying next to me while I watched the video on my phone last night and (she's never seen your reviews) was like "he keeps saying it's hot, we get it!"  I kept responding "he doesn't normally say that! this thing must be a beast!"   She then looked at the pod on the video and...

Morning check before heading to work, found this

Pollination is how the flower becomes "pregnant" and starts to produce the pods.  Without pollination you will not have any pods.

Brown Phenotype - Red 7-pot Lava

That thing looked gnarly. I imagine myself eating something like that and there's no chance I would be able to talk through the heat and burn.

    cost of your pepper grow

I guess I should point out that my costs this year were basically all start-up costs for the hobby since I didn't really have anything. 30+ smart pots (5, 7, 15, & 20 gallon) 30+ cubic feet of soil or stuff to do own soil mix Watering wand Garden gloves Seeds and live plants Fertilizers Organic...

    cost of your pepper grow

Yeah this thread could be dangerous if significant others find it. I'm gonna go with $30 to be safe! (She knows it's WELL over $250)
