Man alive is this one tough! The backstrap I cooked tonight was really tough, gonna have to make a whole lot of jerky and stew meat.

I dropped a 3x2 blacktail today with the .243. Backstrap for dinner tonight! Our season ends Nov 30th and I have 2 tags left, only have next thursday through sunday to fill them due to work.

I took some hair off of a spike today with my .243. Almost had fresh backstraps.

Hot plates can take a long time to heat your mash up. I would look for the highest wattage possible and definitely put a short length of SS chain in your still for a boil break.

  I know this thread is a little old but I have a keezer and the best option I found was to run the line through a copper pipe that extended down into the keezer. The pipe conducts the cold up into the tower really well and I have never had a warm pour.
