pests Pests are out of control!

A good blast with the hose on the daily.   You ain't gonna kill 'em or nothing, just dislodge 'em... and make each and every day a really bad day for 'em.   Using the rose bushes as trap plants... smart move... I'd just be spraying 'em down with soapy water, though. Try to avoid insecticides as...

Trippa Rippa!   Absolute stunning bit of land you got there! The kind I have wet dreams about....   2 years you say you've been over there now?? Wow! Where has time gone?   I know the weather's been shit, but bro, it's been horrid here! Haven't been keeping an eye on the Goldy weather but here...

Wowsers! Those purple to white pods are stunning! PDN is such a unique plant. One of a kind. And always brings something interesting to crosses!   I found the same thing with PDN, Trips. Seeing it pod like crazy in the height of summer was truly something. Although, not sure if it was a case of...

I do have a tendency to babble on most of the time, don't I?   Just be thankful you've never had to listen to me waffle on in the real worlds.... ;)   So, who digs cider? If so, what kinda cider you into?

    Help diagnosing my problem?

Yes, deffo not spider mite. As well as the different damage you mention, they are larger and easier to spot. Maybe cyclamen mite but don't russet mites also leave a telltale pin spot? I guess it is not out of the equation that certain factors might cause broad mite damage to present itself...

[Mar 20] What are you working on this week?

G Spot! You missed me! :D   Cleaning pots... pffff. Maybe a quick scrub but they're only gonna get dirty again, like, straight off the bat at plant out, right? I know, I know, diseases and all that... but a good sterilization just seems futile and a waste of time if such things are already in...

My mother.   None of that is crazy spendin'!   Well, in excess, yes, but....   Nothing wrong with a feast of your favourite foods every now and again... we have been given good things... we should celebrate that!   Nothing wrong with a glass or two of some good wine or other liquor of choice...

Alright, alright... but... I... really don't know.   It would depend on my mood, I guess.   It would deffo be something related to whatever interest is trying to grip onto my mind at that point in time and trying to distract me from my life duties, etc.   What would YOU do with blow money of...

    food Sandwich of the Month

I'll admit I most certainly do too but I think you hit the nail on the head.   Thing that annoys me is that every place I've had a Rachel, they've called it a Reuben.   It was only recently I discovered what a real Reuben was.   Here's this dickhead here telling people he's into Reubens when...

    food Sandwich of the Month

Had a crack at a Reuben last night...     What the shit... these things are incredible!   Had pastrami and coleslaw (what I believe are called?) Rachels before but nothing could prepare me for the awesomeness of the Reuben!   All them places here that try to flog off Rachels as Reubens can go...

off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Morning all!   (4:45am... damn, I slept in!)   Beautiful morning here... temps have actually dipped below 20 deg C!!!! (And by that I mean 19.5 deg C haha)   Relative humidity up at 93%, so not the crisp autumn morning I been hanging so badly for... but still, it's cooler than it's been in a...

    Help diagnosing my problem?

Had a closer look at your pics... and maybe mites.   I'm torn now... I do see signs of mites... but yet it doesn't look like broad mite damage.   Does anybody know of other mites... like broad mite but not broad mite??

    Help diagnosing my problem?

I dunno, it wouldn't hurt to rule it out but it really doesn't strike me as symptom of broad mite (and trust me when I say I've had A LOT of experience with the bastages!).   Very similar but not the same.   Thing with broad mite damage, the curling and distortion itself is a result of...

Crazy spendin' is for fools! :P   If you don't have your own legit uses for money, there's always those in legit need that do. ;)   Like, having $50 or something to blow is one thing, but 1,000 clams is serious bizz, don't you reckon?

    Help diagnosing my problem?

Have you used any herbicides around the plants? Know if your neighbours have? Could be another thing.   But yeah, deffo ease up on the nutes I reckon, especially if your potting mix already contains nutes, and go from there.   Out of curiosity, you know of anybody else who uses the same...

    Help diagnosing my problem?

Is it a Fatalii? Fataliis always do some weird shizz like that on me! I've tried seed from several different sources and it still ALWAYS happens. I have only ever managed to grow ONE plant that didn't do it... and I got no idea what I did different.   Never ever seen it happen to any other...
