2017 Grow List - Bris. Aus.

Best way I have found is to bag pods or whole branches with exclusion bags.   Organza bags are a good cheap option. Your local dollar shop (Crazy Clarks or the like) should stock them, else I believe you can find them cheap as chips online on ebay or whatever.   Trick is to bag as soon as the...

2017 Grow List - Bris. Aus.

Looking good, mate!   :welcome: from another Brisburnian.   Lotsa ladybugs around these parts. Hoverflies too (another enemy of the aphid). We are fortunate in that respect! :D   But yeah, our curse comes in the form of the broad mite... and probably even worse... the QLD fruit fly.   Have you...

tutorial Growing Hot Peppers Guide + FAQ

I guess you missed the part where I pointed out that I was specifically talking about growing in pots and even made note, in a sense agreeing with you, as far as ground growing goes anyways, that it is a different story? (Although, I do believe that even when growing in the ground, if you have...

HELP: My chilli plants leaves are shrinking and curling upwards

Humidity here is a b*tch, so that kinda makes sense...   Although, it does not explain why plants I have growing in the shade/partial shade far out-perform those growing in full sun?   The level of humidity does not change, only the amount of sun the plant is getting.   (Not trying to argue...

HELP: My chilli plants leaves are shrinking and curling upwards

Sure, could be other reasons for no nute uptake... or just plain straight-up underfeeding... but seriously, if the sun over that side is as bad as the sun over this side... I still reckon that's your culprit.

HELP: My chilli plants leaves are shrinking and curling upwards

Yeah, I reckon the sun might be giving 'em a bit of a hiding, aye.   My plants pull that exact same stunted crap when the heat/sun is on.   Shade cloth for sure and some mulch wouldn't go astray either.   Keep those roots as  as possible, man.   Fried roots = no takey up of the nuties.
