    Wicked Mike's 2015 Growlog

Awesome stuff with the students! I love how the science led to art and all of it to appreciation of nature and growing.  Very cool!  And your pod shots are great - beautiful looking peppers!

Pulpiteer 2015 - New Year, New Hopes

Things continue to be busy around here.  Work didn't slow down like I wanted after Easter and now with spring upon us, I'm both working outside as well as potting up my plants with every spare moment after the kids go to bed.  All of this is great though - I enjoy the whole thing.  But I'm...

    Happy Birthday Pulpiteer

Thanks everyone - it's been a great one so far. I've got the week off which has been wonderful, and today I got to work around the yard a bit, which feels great.

Wow, that's awesome! It looks like you had them mulched pretty deep - that must've helped.  Still, overwintering outside like that... awesome!

Things look great! They should get some nice growth between now and Mother's day for you too.  Looks like you've timed things nicely.

On the post you linked, I saw you had a Solomon's Seal.  I was looking for the Giant Solomon's seal awhile back because they were supposed to be edible, the early shoots at least, and very shade tolerant.  Do you have much experience with those?

That amp looks like a nice little piece of equipment - a tube amp, nonetheless.

    Cappy's 2015 Chocolate BS

That's a ton of work in those pictures.   I remember watching a video of you eating a Brain Strain in front of what appeared to be a giant hedge made entirely of peppers and I wondered how that came to be - and now it's making sense.  Things are looking great!

I'll chime in on the Bonsais as well - very cool.  I especially liked the maples.  They were volunteers?  That's awesome. And your pepper plants look great too - as usual!   I'm jealous you guys get a chili fest. Maybe when the kids are older I'll organize a midwest one or something. It'd be fun...

Cool to see all the stuff you've got going on at your place! Do you have problems with deer and your fruit trees?  Good to see them coming to life.

Man, those shots are looking great! It's getting into that time of year where you just hope you don't burst at the seams before plant out.   Your plants are looking wonderful!

Pulpiteer 2015 - New Year, New Hopes

Thanks for the Easter well-wishes guys, I hope your Easters went well too!   It's actually why I haven't been able to post in awhile - Holy Week was incredibly busy, then we had friend from Pennsylvania over last week, which was awesome, but I fell behind in my gardening stuff.     Thanks! I...
