water I'm OK or No? Overwatering?

My pepper seedlings did poorly in sandier soils, but maybe it was because I used fine grain. I think it caked on the roots. YMMV. I feel you. I know I don't have enough containers or soil for everything yet, space notwithstanding. They sit around fine in solocups though, I have several...

water I'm OK or No? Overwatering?

I have the worst luck with annuum seed. None of my jaloros, bananas, cali wonders, bells, ever sprouted. What annuums did sprout came after chinense. That was this summer though. We'll see how well my plants sprout in plugs. Pepper seeds take forever, don't keep it too damp. Just moist is...

    Had An Oops Moment Today

I used the filter method this summer. Seeds that dried out were fine when kept moist again.

Is this normal for Douglah flowers? (or any flowers)

The petals pop off after the pod starts maturing, glue works fine.

Ugh, I feel so incredibly stupid, how did I mess up my calculations for necessary plastic film? :(   Looks like I'll be missing the bottom or 2 feet or so from both sides of my hoop, wtf? Incredible sadness. I somehow didn't take into account how wide the bow actually was, curve and all. Face...

Any Idea Why Chiltepins Are Sometimes Referred To As "Semi-Wild"?

I think maybe it has something to do with our chosen, bred for taste and size, you know, cultivated seed finding itself back in the wild and when it flowers it affects local populations bringing our cultivated choices into the wild fruit again via pollen and then more people pick those fruit...

Front view of my south facing porch (Post fabric pots)       Hind view, these are all of my pepper plants that aren't in Topsy Turvy trees. Those are elsewhere, doing alright, wishing nights were warmer probably. Pics of those later. (pic is pre fabric pots)     Updates on the hoophouse: Home...

    growing up north

I've had annuums and frutescens set in 100+ weather with 80+ nights. It's not a hard and fast rule for every variety or localized variety. I don't know why pollen is more heat tolerant in some plants, they must find ways though.

    what are these little spores?

^ meaning they're just normal composting fungi, they're fine in your pot. Gj dash identifying the pinheads. I've only seen mature fruit, didn't know they looked like that
