    Yellow Brain Strain From Ignite

Thanks for the review James! I'm glad that you enjoyed the pepper. We're growing multiple supers in hydroponics as well as soil and hope to let people choose which ones they want. The hydroponic plants are putting off really mean peppers right now but the soil plants aren't too far behind...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

You want to cut the runners first and then remove some of the remaining long roots. You never want to remove more than 20% at any given time. By pruning the runners and longer sections it will encourage nice white fibrous roots to grow in bunches. Current Culture actually has a blog post about...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

Thanks!  Undercurrent systems aren't anything new in terms of the design, it's basically just a RDWC system but instead of pumping water into each bucket or relying on pressure to equalize the buckets, you pull water through the system.  This creates a natural flow in the system and helps to...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

I tried to create video tonight and just wasn't happy with the quality my Note 3 was giving me, so I guess I'm going to go pick up a go pro this weekend and see if it works better.  Video updates should be easier and will allow me to show more of the plants and pods than a few pictures here and...

    Cappy's 2015 Chocolate BS

Very nice Cappy!  I'll have to stop by one day soon.  My plants are showing to be great producers and are loaded down with very uniformed peppers.  We have some that have started turning and should be ready shortly if this rain ever stops.  I'll drop some of the jaw droppers by your place so you...

nutrients Running nutes through drip irrigation line?

We run nutrients through our drip systems, but we use open basket stakes instead of PC-GPH drippers due to them clogging so often.  You can run clean nutes like GH 3-part, Cutting Edge 3-part, or even H&G Aqua but eventually you'll get salt build-up with those and run into problems.  Thick nutes...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

Thanks for all of the kind words. The late nights from feeding and singing to the plants is worth it when someone else appreciates it. :) We had some really bad storms come through this afternoon and a few of the plants have some minor hail damage as a result. It's nothing major though, just...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

Here's a weekly update: June 9, 2015   Our plants at the farm took a pretty hard about 2 weeks ago due to high temps and no rain.  The float valve in our large 600 gallon tank failed to work correctly so the plants didn't get any water for almost 6 days while enduring 90F temps in very dry soil...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

To my knowledge Judy has not released the chocolate brainstrain. John had a Brazilian version that originated from another grower. John also has a brown version that he has been hyping up. I'm growing John's brainstrain and it definitely has a different shape and look than Judy's version...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

I noticed that Cappy posted pictures of his Chocolate Brainstrain plants producing pods in somewhat of an unusual manner, so here are some shots of mine doing the same thing. Almost every plant is doing this so we'll see if they change as the season goes on. Beautiful plants and pods. I love...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

Here's another quick update:   All of the plants are doing great and are loaded with peppers.  Some of our hydroponic plants are starting to ripen so the potted plants won't be too far behind.  Here's a few new pictures that I snapped today of the gnarliest pods we currently have growing, some...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

Thanks!  I tried really hard over the last year to collect and grow some of the most unique strains out there.  I think we're going to offer a great selection of supers to sweets this year.  We'll start putting ads up once we have enough ripe pods to start fulfilling orders.  I contemplated...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

I was out browsing around the plants at the house and noticed that one of my hydroponic BBM plants has some nice pods hanging from it...this should be good and hot.  I have a few Big Mustard Mama plants as well, but they haven't started setting any fruit.  I'm anxious to see how the heat on this...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

Thanks!  The plants that are in the top-drip system were started back in October and ran inside under CMH lighting until a month ago, so they had the jump on all of the other plants.  The climate here in SC is really good for peppers, the warmer weather and humidity always sends my plants into...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

Well...it's been a long time since the last update, so here we go with a small but important one.   Things at the farm have finally started to take off after a few weeks of being in limbo.  They're back to growing at a fast pace and seemingly love the environment now.  Most of the farm plants...

7 Pot Brain Strain vs. Red 7 Pot Brain

Cappy aka Pepper Ridge Farm worked on the original 7 Pot Brainstrain (Red).  Judy from PepperLover worked with Cappy on the yellow brainstrain, and Judy handled the chocolate all on her own.  Cappy and I are growing the chocolate this year and hope to help stabilize it.   The Yellow BS does not...

    Ignite's 2015 Superhot Grow

I wasn't able to get a video edited and uploaded last night, so I'm hoping to get something done today.  We'll be putting a Choco BS, Borg 9, MA Wartryx, and a 7 Pot Katie into the undercurrent system tonight so it should make the video a little more interesting.  I'm also planning on making a...

The bleeding borg 9 is a non-true Borg 9 type that's being passed around right now. It's basically a spikey BBG7. A true Borg 9 has no calyx like the BBG7. There's alot of non-true types floating around right now that are fun to grow, the bleeding is one of them. Thanks!
