Hey Maiden, great photos!
A couple weeks ago I ordered a mixed selection of 10 flytrap seeds and a sundew (I'll look up the proper name later, not sure which it is offhand), so I'm glad I found this thread! Kinda wishing I picked up a couple small pitcher types as well but I was quite lost...
Exactly. We have a couple breweries and a couple craft ale houses in town as well. They all serve a wide range delicious brews, and from looking around at different tables I always see a ton of variety getting consumed. The breweries usually sell out of the seasonals and house ales before the...
Very cool. Nepenthes are the pitchers right? Never knew there were so many varieties of them, or the sundews and v fly traps for that matter until just a couple weeks ago. A capsicum would look neat in there for sure.
Holy crap! That's one ironclad digestive tract you have there, sir. Out of curiosity what other peppers were up there in heat, to you?
Great way to compare, I am currently trying something slightly similar with powders, because eating whole supers (let alone a few a day) is not something I...
I used red rocotos this year for red pepper jam/jelly. Made 8 jars of awesomeness. Used white wine vinegar, a little chipolte, a touch of salt.. Highly recommend.
I did a pineapple/scotch bonnet mix last year, it was OK flavour-wise, much too sweet for my liking though.
I personally would...
Well to the OP I think you've got plenty of light. I found T5s to be quite strong. I used 6500k bulbs and they did great until they went out for the summer.. I have a 4ftx4bulb and was able to get over 100 starts to around 6-8".
As to the debate... it was my understanding that some plants have...
Looks awesome!
I ordered a selection of carnivorous plant seeds to try my hand at this winter as well. This is a great idea for 'em after a year or two. What other plants are you putting in there? And critters too? Some of those poison arrow frogs would look sick in there... and they'll eat...
This thread is just loaded with deliciousness. I will be giving a lot of your recipes a go over the winter months!
We tried kimchi for the first time this summer and loved it. Some homemade stuff from a little Korean convenience/liquor shop up in cottage-land. Actually I think it was a post of...
You crack a jar of your heavily reaperfied salsa for your Halloween party and think that labeling it as "Hot" is enough to warn the drunk people away.... whoops!
Fellow Canucks, ever dreamed of picking fresh Galapagoense peppers ---- wild in the Galapagos?!?! Here's a sweet little contest that'll give you a shot - http://blazonapp.com/r/5388-0Kx2FuV3vR (win a $12,000 8-day galap cruise). These islands are #1 on my bucket list so I thought I'd share...
Hey guys, I may not be in this year, not sure yet as I'm only looking for a few particulars.
Good news is, I had a great season and saved lots of seeds, so, Marc, if I'm not in I'm going to send my contribution directly to you for the start of the train. I'll be in touch either way.
Diggin' the bochi's, man! Reminds me that I still have a ton of work to do when I get in from my road trip. I've enjoyed creepin through your glog from time to time this season, a lot of great stuff in here for sure.
