    Recommended herbs to grow?

cinnamon basil is great for spicy pesto. the cinnamonish flavor serves as a nice bridge between the basil flavor and the pepper spiciness.

    When to Transplant?

aaactually... you can save a few days of growth time by actually waiting until the seed casing is shed or almost shed. i've done it both ways and the plants that i waited to transplant always out-do the ones that went in first.

    Naga Morich vs. Dorset Naga

dorset naga should technically be a bit earlier than a true naga morich. this is based on the notion that the dorset naga is a selectively bred naga morich selected for dorset's climate.

Square Foot Gardening with Super Hots?

a lot of us have used 5 gallon containers to house single plants, and it definitely looks as if you're gonna have far more soil volume per plant than we do. so i gather you'll definitely be ok.

    chinense Yellow Bhut Jolokia

i'm with potawie on this. i don't think dave understands that you can tell whether something is or isn't a hybrid when f2s are grown out. i've seen pictures of f2 yellow bhuts and there is a noticeable variance in pod shape, size and growing habit. what does that tell you? it's most likely a...

    favorite Favorite superhots

my experience is rather limited, but i love bhut jolokias. i was able to get a few pods from a specialty seller at the farmer's market over here and they made the best sauce i've ever had. behind the heat, there's a whole lot of flavor in those pods. far more than in the cayennes that i grew...

hah, i'd buy them just because of that. just sow them and enjoy your crop. hopefully it will be better than you expect. i'm on the other side of the card here. i'm one of those odd gardeners that actually thinks that what montsanto is doing is actually, in the end, beneficial to mankind as a...
