I'm not big into hydro, so take what I say with a grain of salt (and hopefully the experts will be on later). However, I think you are looking at it backwards. Every time I have seen measurements on the water, it refers to ppm of "stuff", and a point at which the plant's roots are unable to...- PapaBill

help with leaf deformation
The guide pic I have says that would be calcium deficiancy. New leaves misshapen or stunted. Existing leaves remain green. Edit to link for pic: Another guide said it also could be signs of a K or Mg overdose. This one may help with the hydro issue:- PapaBill

Lacewings didn't do as well, but did see some eggs for them, so they musta been around for a while...- PapaBill

Yea, that would be my question as well. A cup of water every few days sounds like an awful lot to me unless it is draining out the bottom (and draining well). I would have to assume that they do drain, as I cannot imagine them going through so much water, but I'd be curious as to how much is...- PapaBill
