    The Krakens 2015-2016 Glog

I literally wrap aluminum foil around cardboard for my reflectors. Works like a charm if you have a way to keep them in place where they are needed. Was considering spray painting one side of cardboard glossy white and the other silver reflective, but have not yet tried. I also don't have the...

HBJ 2015 - Got a box of pepper love in mail today!!!

That is a beautiful plot right there. Why don't you like that the Heinz 57 are determinate? Too bushy? All of mine are indeterminate and I had to cut long bamboo poles just to stake and support them!

    The Krakens 2015-2016 Glog

Tripod and ring flash! I take macro photos of mushrooms and these are essential tools. Well, the tripod anyway. Then you can even use a flashlight app on your phone, then put the camera on a timer to get the phone light where you need it.

    contest Growdown Throwdown 2015 !!!!

Have you considered measuring soil temp to make you feel better? Happy root zone means they should recover nicely even if the leaves don't love it.

    fertilizer How much fertilizer?

How big are your containers? I aim to water each plant enough that the soil is thoroughly wetted and some water runs out the bottom holes of each container. Do not be fooled by water running down the sides of the pot early on. I know the weight of each container when dry (almost nothing) and...

seeds Germinating Seeds - my method. What's yours?

Two years ago I sewed sowed straight into warm expanded Jiffy pods and got germination rates in the high 80% range. Last year switched to Promix HP in red plastic cups covered with plastic wrap to trap moisture and got in the low 70s. This year used "seed starting mix" in red plastic cups with...

    Feather Meal...Bioavailability

it is "high nitrogen", but a lot of decomposition has to occur for most of that nitrogen to become available for plant use. Probably a good slow release amendment before plant out if you are trying to stay organic.

Those chocolate lava look mean, but were I you I would go with whichever you will get the best flavor out of. Whether it is fresh, powder, jelly, go flavor with that wild heat!

water Plant looks underwatered but isn't.

Photos will definitely help here, or at least more information. How much water? How much soil? How much light? Inside? Outside?

Before and After (Proof that a cheap setup can work!)

That sweet chin music. Nice setup, OP. I do something similar, 'cept I only have one shop light fixture. Did heat come strictly from the light fixtures?

    largest pepper

Orange bell peppers from the same seed pack have flowered and set as much fruit in their first three months under the shade cloth this year as they did all season last year without the shade. Hoping they will get larger before ripening as well.
