Thanks guys. It will be a real shame to cut this pod up. It sure looks hot. By the way Brandon, I had my Fatalii powder with me the whole way. Made dehydrated food so much better!

    BigCedar Brandon grew this beauty...

If you kept up with his grow log this year, you know how much passion he has for growing his Pacific Northwest Chiles. After a serious setback this growing season, Brandon did not give up and this is the result of his hard work. I will tip a few Kokanees tonight for you buddy. Thanks.

Great pod pics Brandon. The dice in the pics was a perfect idea. I have quite a few small pods too. They can really light you up just like the big boys. :hell:

pests In need of some serious help. Aphids.

Ladybugs worked for me in a contained environment like a room in the house and the greenhouse. Not sure how to control them in an outside garden. I would at least carefully spray each plant with the garden hose to temporarily remove many of the little devils to knock the numbers down. I have a...

    event NW Chilefest 2013 Discussion

Hey Ann. I am back from the woods now. Haven't had much time to catch up on things yet, but I will repeat what I said a while back. You have done so much for this event since the beginning, I believe you have earned the right to have it on the East side. I have no idea where, but I will go with...

    BigCedars SuperHot Grow 2012

Hey Brandon. Good to see you are fighting the good fight. I have been away for a long time being a caregiver to my father in El Paso. I see June has not been kind to us in the NW with the rains and cool weather. My plants looked the same as when I left them almost a month ago. They really want...

Not Yellow Fatalii. What Is It?

Hey Eephus. Last year I had some red pod plants growing from my Yellow Fataliis seeds and just assumed they were a Red Fatalli or some kind of mix. They had the similar taste, shape, and were thin walled like the Yellow Fataliis. They were extremely hot and quickly became one of my favorites...

Hang tough Brandon. You will find out what it takes to get a decent harvest, and those little devils will taste even better. I found one leaf on one plant this morning that looked like b. leaf spot and immediately removed it. Keep up the hard work and excellent documentation buddy. :hell:

Big Jims with nearly no heat!!

I grew up just a few miles from Hatch and also lived in New Mexico for many years. Eating chiles for most New Mexicans is a big part of the culture...a way of life. I eat chiles every day. Lots of it. Even though I live over a thousand miles away, I will always have my yearly supply in the...
