i used dehydrated coconut in hotsauces. i put it into hot water soak and sieve it out once all the flavour is in the water. this helps getting the flavour, but avoids adding unecesary liqiuds that wont keep for long storage.
i looked for some cientific explication to it and found this abstract;
in short; it seems its normal with a lot of variation within all tested chilis

hehe :) i have a lot of incaberrys .. they can make nice sauces using them with fruits and lemons and such. but fresh - not too tasty - soap is a good description!

since i grow in the soil out in the garden, one watering a day should be enough i hope, the soil here is old sea bottom and the mineral clay holds humidity very well. but in this heat not much plants will produce fruits and thats crap. this is how i rock it out there -...
