    I did it last year and appears that the plants coming from hydro did much better the the ones started in soil. Probably due to the fact the roots develop better in hydro. The hard part is moving from hydro to soil without damaging the roots. One plant I had to trim 2/3 of the roots and it still...

    I vote for chilaca. Fantastic tasting pepper so you're not growing something for nothing. They are very easy to grow (annuum)and can easily find seeds online. They grow very long so you could make it a biggest chilaca contest. http://thechileman.org/pepperimages/Chilaca.jpg

    mini DWC Hydro project

    mini Deep Water Culture Hydro project Well my peach hab was dying not sure from what. Anyhow I was bored so I made it a mini DWC hydro. I'll be fun to see if it survives and improves in the next few weeks. Air pump, ziplock 1L container, veg hydro solution.

    Sounds interesting Omri. I'm not familiar with the cuisine in Israel. Do people eat a lot of spicy food? as in pepper hot? If so you may discover other interesting heirloom varieties from local farmers which of course you will be happy to share some precious seeds with us ;)

    Bien sûr que oui! Mais je fais autant sinon plus de fautes en français qu'en anglais. Avec le fureteur Firefox (fureteur haha! j'ai apris ça de l'émission de denis talbot) il y a un autocorrecteur en anglais qui est très pratique pour nous :)

    The mystery remains.... I unpotted the most affect plant, a Giant Thai pepper. Roots look perfectly healthy.I did damage a good portion trying to get it out of the pot.

    Yes big time! The first pic is an alma paprika up until 2 weeks ago this guy was very happy. no flower drops and lots of peppers. The second pic is of a Giant thai. That sucker was producing lots of flowers and peppers. but now almost all the leaves have dropped and the new leaves and flowers...

    Coco coir is supposed to be neutral. I grew lots of plants this summer with coco coir with great results. The fert I've been using for some time also with great results. My tomato plants are also affected but my magical micheal basil plants look very healthy. Could be somethig affecting peppers...
