Excellent info. Many thanks guys. I had a few plants yellow just very recently as we had a bucket load of rain after rain followed by intense sun. My mother in law told me to hit em with Epsom. I was worried as I previously mentioned that I would ruin the bio- ness of it all.
I read on another forum that it may harm the microbes in the soil. Then I read that it doesn't. I've seen by your other posts that you are really into natural free organic fertilizers.....so I'm guessing by your post that it doesn't effect the living organisms in the soil?
I'm going the not so hots this year. I've started atomic heart seedlings from seed and just finished planting them out. Also put my name down with the council to have cat traps laid in my area. To many strays killing seedlings.....well no more. Its going to be a chilli filled cat free year.
Is Epsom salts a safe fertilizer. I know that chem fertilizers kill the beneficial microbes in organic soils. I have gone to some effort at building up my gardens with using organic fertilizers and adding gogo juice, seaweed etc. Hate to ruin this using Epsom salts to build up foliage and fruit...
It's a mystery! The moderator here lord vykor tried one. Brought an instant tear and he told me the next day his belly ached all night. I got this one from a nursery. Looked nothing like it's tag. But I'm not complaining this time, it's been one of my hottest.
I've sent a few seeds around as it...
Thought I'd jump in on this with my funny addition. I have an Indian friend who's parents believe Australians would not have a clue what hot is and laughed at the idea that I would have anything that they could not handle. So, of to my garden I goes. I decided to go for one of my cross bred...
Harararar talk about karma. my Boss told me his hands were on fire last night after the prank. He washed em and thought it was safe to go to the toilet. There was still enough residual douglah on his hands to burn his John Thomas.
The burn lasted and lasted. That's good enough for me!
Revenge...
I covered some pieces of steak very lightly in death sauce 2020 ultra and scattered them around. I watched as I saw stray cats grab and run. Then suddenly they drop it out there mouths and freak. That's stage one.
Now they know what's bad, I scattered dry chilli flakes around my gardens...
I can't believe this day..
After recovering from this mornings dare to eat one of my Douglahs. At Friday afternoon drinks, my boss David thought it would be hilarious to chop up a Douglah and put it in my stubbie of beer.
What a child. My whole head lit up like a furnace and now I'm in pain...
Oh wow, finally coming down. Not even the scorpion was this bad.
Verdict - Ridiculously hot. I put money on it that it's the hottest. Jolokias are a joke compared to this. Tongue is....well I can't fully taste my lunch.
What an insane trip!
I just ate my first Douglah.....WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!!!!!
Oh god the pain. Nothing works, not even milk. Just have to ride the pain train to its destination.
Oh why did I do this?
I looked up the possible SHU levels found on a website after a hard night of googling. They can reach 30 000, that's a lot higher than the jalopino at 5000 max. They taste like capsicums (bell peppers for our us friends).
Think I might keep these!
Hmmmm, that was going to be my next question. Does heat levels necessarily mean more pain or just different pain. Ie getting used to one type of capcaisin (how ever it's spelt)
After purchasing this gogo juice after getting advice from a fertilizer specialist. Thought I'd do some digging. Found this extract you might find interesting:-
100% organic
gogo juice is the result of some 6 years extensive research an development , stretching from a consulting scientist in...
I got to speak to a fertilizer specialist today. Looks like I got it wrong. Chemical fertilizers like aquasol and miracle grow will eventually kill the micro organisms in the soil that are required for breaking down and releasing nutrients from the bio matter in the soil.
The seaweed and triple...
I'm wondering if these peters have crossed with one of my douglahs. Are peters suppost to be hot (hotter than usual jalopinos etc)? Any one got any info on this?
