How do I make powdered pepper?

As far as pepper powder recipes, it is as easy as dry the peppers, grind the peppers. You choose what peppers to put in it. IMO, why add anything but chili's? Things that others have done is use all one color of pepper to get a distinct flavor profile and color of powder. Blend supers with...

    Where did I come from?

My fathers side comes from the Ellis's of New York. The earliest I have been able to trace is Samuel Ellis, born in Rhode Island in 1775. My Great Grandfather, Dewitt Clinton Ellis, 1842-1927, was a baptist minister. He started a family in Page Iowa, but for some unknown reason he left and...

What to do with extra pepper plants?

I have been taking my "extras" to work and giving them to coworkers. The fun part is, I did not keep track of what each plant was, so I have no idea who got what. They all know the plants will produce really hot peppers, and if they want to know what they are, they got to bring me a ripe pod.

    Using 5 gallon buckets

3/8" holes drilled on two inch centers around the side along the very bottom of the bucket. If you drill holes through the bottom you will need to provide a way out for the excess water, whether it is setting the bucket on a porous surface (gravel) or setting on blocks.

    First timer grow log

Welcome to the obsession SRBII...... You look like you are off to a great start. As far as potting up, it all depends on how much room and light you can provide before plant out. I went from jiffy pellets to 3" square pots, to 2 gallon pots, then plant out planned end of May. Going to the 2...

    This does not look good

My seedlings have been doing great, until recently. Yellowing leaves, leaves dropping including very young ones that are not completely developed. The bud ends dying and dropping off. My sea of green is starting to look very bad. I know they are root bound and need potting up but I am waiting on...
