Paper towel works well to - it lets the moisture through while keeping some heat in. There, now you know most of my secret technique for using a crockpot to dry chiles. ;)

Someone told me that rainwater brings traces of nitrogen from the atmosphere down with it... they could have been full of s*it though. They're getting a good foliar feeding of rainwater this week and some cooler temps.
This overcast weather is slowing down the ripening so it may be a few more days until the first one is ready for a taste test. It's my biggest plant - up to my shoulder including the container - and it's getting more flowers in the canopy now. I hope they set pods for me. Just picked 3 babay...
Long choc hab is ripening now. This is my only chocoalte variety so I can hardly wait!
I am wondering if it is crossed or not. I only have the one plant so can't tell if there's consistancy. They're a bit bumpy at the top then smooth out toward the bottom. Measuring to about 2.25 - 2.5".

Yep, you're a lucky man. Great pics too. There might be some clusters of elongated yellowish eggs under the leaves too. Leave them be. :)

I made some lemon drop concentrate again yesterday, but this time I used bottled lemon juice and 1/4 tsp crystaline citric acid instread of the vinegar. I also added 1/2 cup sugar to 300g of peppers. I got an 8oz jar of concentrate plus some leftover to experiment with in other recipes.
