Curious if anyone has estimated the Scoville units of the peppers that have overtaken the Bhut and created a revised list.

Did I get lucky and grow a Bhut Jolokia???

I originally had this plant labeled as a Fatali, but Google image searches suggest otherwise, what do ya'll think? It's about 3.5" long, 3/4" in diameter and quite bumpy. I have about 5 on the plant so I am happy no matter what they are. This plant is labeled Yellow 7-Pot, yes or no? It's...

    SV's 2010 Garden List

The plants are all doing ok, they are wilted by the time I get home from work and by morning looking pretty good. If they are still wilted in the morning I have been turn the soaker hose on for about 30-60 minutes and again in the afternoon for about 1-2 hours. I may be wrong but the plants seem...

    pests Under Attack!!! Leaffooted Bugs

These suckers are ruining my tomatos, I have to pick them green or by the time they start changing color they have #2 pencil eraser size holes all over them. I have sprayed with Sevin twice and I don't think it will work well since these suckers fly. So Neem Oil next?

    SV's 2010 Garden List

I Google'd BER and that looks like the issue, thanks! I hope it's not too late to save some fruit, I have pleny of Hab's but the super-hots only have a few fruit on each plant.

    SV's 2010 Garden List

I have a new issue that is affecting the Habaneros and Lumbre fruit, the bottom of the pepper is turning black on a few fruits and they are dropping off the plant. I searched "turning black" and "black tips" and did not find an answer. There also do not appear to be enough fruit on any single...

Oh man, thanks! If they are not bothering the plants I won't bother with them, I have plenty to do around the house :D

    pests Under Attack!!! Leaffooted Bugs

I found them last night after looking over the garden and they are numerous, too many to hand exterminate. Do ya'll have any suggestions to repel or kill the little bassturds??? On a good note, I saw my first Orange Hab out of several hundred on the six plants and a new Fatali. I also saw and...

    SV's 2010 Garden List

Amazing how mother nature can wreck a garden so quickly...we had a steady hard rain all day and all I was thinking about was the Dixie cup plants floating in the tub, completely free from the cheap soil and my jon boat filling up with water and capsizing. When I got home I was really sick, every...

    SV's 2010 Garden List

Josh, I think you are right on the money, I had *1* Bulgarian Carrot that was in a Folgers container in an earlier photo. I guess I put it in the raised bed a while back. :D

    SV's 2010 Garden List

Thank you...I would not have so many "mystery plants" if I took better notes. For the life of me I have no idea how I made it through college. I will pot up this weekend.

    SV's 2010 Garden List

Thanks guys, overall I am pleased with the raised beds but the local dirt yards brown topsoil had too much clay in it so I will have to rework the beds over the winter. Last year my peppers had no real heat to speak of after the first batch of pods, I have no idea why but I don't want to...

    SV's 2010 Garden List

I don’t know what this plant is, I can’t think of anything that long and Serrano like, it might be a Billy Biker or Type M Jap. The last batch of mystery peppers; do you have an opinion on what I should do with them? I can plant them where the lettuce was planted but they would not receive...
