After I posted the original question I opened th bags all the way and kept them opened. Before I went to work I put the meat thermometer back into one of the peat pods and it read 80*F. So obviously I am gonna have to leave it open if this set up is to remain inside of the house. I can't wait...

My ambient house temp is 70*F. I might have to move them and the heat mat to the garage where it is probally in the mid 60's.

So last night I started seeds for Trinidad Douglah, Trinidad Scorpion, Bhut Jolokia and Fatalii in peat pucks. Once sown I put the pucks in sandwich baggies 80% closed. I put all of them on a heat mat on the kitchen counter. This morning I stuck a meat thermometer in one of them and it read...

Yeah my bell peppers are already trying to bloom even though they are only about 6-7 inches tall. For this time of year they should be at least a foot or more tall. I will pinch those buds. I just hope I don't live to regret this they way this season is going.

So because they have not been exposed to frost and only cooler than optimal temps there is no danger of stunted growth? :pray:

So I finally put a sad habanero in a SWC. When I bought it it was in a sad state because of overwatering. The temps at my house have been on the cool side for a while. What kind of long term effects cool weather can have on chilies?

Well most summers it's been good with temps usually in the 70's and 80's on the west side and 80's, 90's and 100's on the east side. But this summer I don't know dude. They say its gonna be above normal temps this season. It better hurry up. :pray:

Well since we have been expiriencing cooler and wetter than normal weather and my peppers are in suspended animation, I would like to see pics of all of yall's peppers so far this season. C'mon show off.
