Checked it out a few months ago and was surpised at the slim pickens. I find their description of the Bhut Jolokia interesting. I had no issues growing them last year, most germinated in ~20 days and they self pollinated with good yields. Guess I'm not a "novice grower".

I'd start with everything from the onion on - then add the fruits and veggies one at a time - start with a small amount and keep adding until you reach your desired flavor. That way you can determine how much of each to add for flavor. Or split out some of the base and add each of the other...

Smell depends on your type of "plants". Chile peppers don't give off much if any smell. Other plants may vary.

Patrick- Although I understand your humor, you should give the old IPA a try. The alcohol causes the aphid to dessicate very quickly (almost as quick as the alcohol dries). It doesn't leave a residue or much residual odor so it shouldn't harm your Tarantulas.. Cliff

Patrick - I hit my aphid problem on my over-wintered Giant White Hab with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol spray. It took ~ three treatments to get rid of them, Haven't seen one since. Might be worth a try on yours. Best fo luck! Cliff
