Shabu Shabu! SASBE & SFRB Offer

With so many pods from multiple vendors why not open a pack from each and do a germination test. With out it to prove there are viable seed in the pods they are just dried pods and nothing more. I would rather pay a dollar a seed for known viable seed then get several pods for cheap only to...

Cool little critter that came in the soil of a plant I got.

The S purpurea is red in full sun and I also have a green form and one that is more purple on the lip. The other two in the pic here are a purpurea x flava and a S flava.   I did not think the katydid crawled in but might have fallen in, I will know more today when I go out into the greenhouse...

Cool little critter that came in the soil of a plant I got.

Well I am afraid one of my plants munched it as next to the plant is a large saucer holding three pitcher plants all of which are big enough to consume a bug bigger then it was.

So far it has only fed on the flowers of the plant which is a jatropha bonsai of mine i got from florida about two months ago. Since i have seen it it has had two molts, with each molt it is sliming up to a more...

Cool little critter that came in the soil of a plant I got.

About two months ago i got a plant shipped to me from a florida nursery and this little katydid must have been in the soil in egg form or on the plant. it does not eat the leaves of the plant so far but does munch the flowers on it which their are plenty of.

Trust me little grandma would know somethimg was not right before cooking them like as soon as she sliced them up to cook with. Nose hairs a curling first real clue with the second being if she was handling the cut peppers bare handed and then rubbing/touching just about any other part of her...

    water Overwatered, I'm guessing?

I agree with others above about needing cal, mag and possibly a ph issue blocking the phos. To much water and nitrogen with warm temps can cause the leaves to grow to fast if lacking the other nuetrients needed for healthy growth.

Any thoughts as to what pepper this is given as a boonie.

Well I am growing them out and have potted them up into 5 gallon pots so we will see. I will take better pics over the next week or so as new flowers open. Baccatum have a yellow or green ring inside the white flower in the ones I have grown or seen. There are two species already mentioned that...

Any thoughts as to what pepper this is given as a boonie.

I received two of these peppers last night from a nearby nursery that we bought out of some of their bedding plants. He sells them labeled as boony peppers. I looked them up last night and more today and the thing that has me wondering is that the flowers are solid yellow and the leaves are very...

    OF1's 2014 grow.

Here are a few more pics showing growth of plants. Bhut both the top and the bottom growth of the plant. In a #7 squat pot I believe and at this rate will need to be potted up to a larger pot like maybe a #15. Both the top of the main stem and the bottom growth are about 2 ft wide and hogging...
