Yes it definitely increases my fertilization rate. I dunno about the chiles though...

Flowers usually turn into pods in a few days. Look for the petals dying but the calyx/stem still green. If that happens, you've got a pod coming. Sometime the stem/calyx/petals all die and that means the flower failed to produce which is fine. You'll start seeing pods very soon just make sure to...

    Yellowing Leaves Habanero/Bhut Under LED

I would say almost definitely a Ca deficiency. Treat with a steady full dose of CalMag+. The newer leaves that look really bad wont get better, but new growth will show you if it's working.

Nice work, dude! Glad it all worked out for you.

Your album appears to be restricted. I prefer imgur.com. Get the direct link and put it in [img] ['/img] tags without the little quote. It'll embed right into your post. Also try this. http://www.hydroponics.net/learn/nutrient_deficiencies.asp   Be careful when treating for deficiencies, it's...

    pests First pests have arrived!

GNATS. Do what you must to destroy them, they are Satan's pubic lice as far as I'm concerned. Mosquito dunks, letting the soil dry, and sticky traps worked for me, but I can never be sure I got them all. Nasty fuckers.   :flamethrower:  :flamethrower: :flamethrower: :flamethrower...

    fertilizer Let's talk fertilizers

And it's an awesome way to chelate iron, supplement a little extra Mg and Ca as well as give your benes and plants some sugar.

Huh that first table is really interesting. Definitely saving that article. Thanks.

Same here. I'm also curious as to how you can get away with a low P count relative to N and K.

The trouble with being a chilihead noobie

Could be a Bhut/Jalapeno cross or even a Bhut/Bell cross to account for the enormous loss in heat.

    water Tap water conditioner?

What about aerating without heat? Any hydro grower or aquarium owner would easily be able to aerate large volumes of water.

    fertilizer Let's talk fertilizers

The water at my university and at home is actually really nice. Very low TDS counts and pH slightly acidic. Great for plants.   Thanks for your input. My plan is to use Grow Big/Big Bloom from Fox Farms, CalMag+, and molasses because I've had great success with molasses. Obviously I won't be...

    water Tap water conditioner?

How does the humic acid work? I'm guessing it would make HCl or HClO (muriatic/hydrochloric acid and bleach respectively) and an ammonium-humate salt? After adding humic acid, I'd test for chlorine and boil it good just to be safe.

    fertilizer Let's talk fertilizers

Thanks for all the responses. I've never used much in the way of chemical nutes for non-hydro, but now I'm considering it.       I'm in college and I only really have that one pot. Can't repot it as I don't have any more soil. I figure I'm going to push this plant to flower and fruit the best it...

    fertilizer Let's talk fertilizers

If anyone's seen my thread recently, my Bhut Jolokia's gone through (and is still going through) a really rough patch.   I want to get at least one harvest out of it before it goes, but after it's gone it's time to start anew. I'm a container grower for the most part as I don't own any land...

    I think I have a Fe deficiency...

Room temps are either at or below 25C. The light was pretty close but it's about 45cm from them now.   I don't know how reversible this sort of damage will be, I hope it is limited enough where I can prune the damaged leaves and let new growth come in. Mostly, I hope I can get the plant healthy...

    I think I have a Fe deficiency...

Exactly, so how should I go about treating this? Tested my soil pH yesterday and it came back good.
