Does anybody have any experience with changing flavor by picking at different times? What about picking a fruit green and letting it go red/orange/yellow/whatever off the vine? Do flavor changes, if they happen, happen differently for different fruits?   I know that jalapenos get a lot sweeter...

I get dropped pods all the time because of #11. Be careful when you pick dried petals off of emerging pods!

Pull it and either eat the parts that aren't rotten or toss it. It's doing nothing on the plant except getting old and sapping energy. If you pull it and supplement with calcium, the other fruits will have a better chance.

Update: I tried it. Impulse got to me. Good news is that the bugs seem almost entirely suppressed! I'm surprised. I'll continue adding oil and checking for larvae but it seems like a good soil application of the stuff works. No need for foliar... Thanks to you guys who posted.

I'll pick up some dunks and some strips and get to work! I need to get them clean before I move my two pots into a dorm closet. It's one thing to kill one pot's worth of gnats. I'd hate to have to kill two pots worth.

I burned my Bhut Jolokia earlier this week. Sorry brother. They'll bounce back, peppers are sturdy as hell.

Yeah. I know it sucks to hurt your friends, PHB (believe me I know). But they're not dead and eventually they'll give you fruits. My Bhut's already making healthy foliage. Should be back to a huge plant in about a month. (fingers crossed)

Then the flush will work. PO4(-3), K(+) and NO3(-) are all super water soluble and will be flushed out. Should prevent nute lockout as well as the overdose problem. When I repot and stuff I'll probably just folar feed with Epsom Salts and some other diluted liquid fert. No sense in feeding...

We'll see, man. We'll see. I'm also repotting in 6 days in a new medium and bigger pot. I'm done with Miracle Gro and its included ferts. Hopefully I'll get all my big growth back this time next month and have some flowers to boot.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I added Epsom Salts to the mix a while back so I don't think it's Mg deficiency. The dark green growth and messed up leaves are leading me to believe that it was nute burn/overdose. I'll update the thread when I've repotted with new soil and quit overfeeding the poor...
