    dried Dried Habs...,

Well the word "habs" is used pretty loosely there. It could be any number of different fruits, and heat levels for that matter. If you have the means I would recommend growing your own, then you know what your putting in your sauces. If you don't have access to seeds or want a jump start...

    Pepper Quiz

I believe the heat stays the same. It's the sugar content that increases when the fruit ripens. A fully red Jalapeno is sweeter than if picked green but they both have the same heat.

    chile side effects

Well as a fellow Minnesotan I can say that I probably have the same tolerances to heat and cold as you. It has to REALLY get cold for me to be cold. Skiing in sub zero weather? no problem! That being said my wife was born and raised here too and freezes 8 months out of the year. Go figure...

    Habman's going Hydro!

Well the rest of the kit arrived yesterday and of course the nutrients were all frozen. I contacted Genhydro and here is the response they sent back. They should be fine once they have thawed. They are 100% water soluble mineral nutrients with no organic/biological ingredients so the...

    Habman's going Hydro!

well the first part of my setup showed up yesterday. The rooting gel, ph up and ph down, and the florakleen all showed up frozen solid as a rock from sitting in the UPS warehouse over the weekend. I contacted the guy and he said that freezing wont bother these liquids. Does anybody know if this...

    Habman's going Hydro!

Wow, how big of a room do you have? You could probably cook a pizza or something under those lights.;) Seriously nice setup though. My little room is still under construction, the kit arrives tomorrow, lights are setup, and my 2 plants that I'm wintering are loving life with all the new light...

    Habman's going Hydro!

Tell me about it. I did pick up the lights yesterday. 2 T12, 6500K, 3065 lumen, 4ft tubes and 2 T12, 3000k, 3000 lumen tubes with a T12/T8 75watt hanging fixture and mounting brackets. I know the T8's are supposed to produce more lights but the T12's were actually rated higher as far as lumens...

    Habman's going Hydro!

Well, mark it sold. Just need the lights and the test equipment, but that can wait until next check. I needed to spend $250. for the free shipping at GrowCo but at 29lbs shipping weight it was worth it, plus I need the other stuff anyway. Can't wait to plant! $9.95 1 General...

    fish emulsion

I find it works very well for soil based gardens. I used it last year and had pretty good results. It stinks to high heaven though so don't use indoors.

    any suggestions ?

Usually when a plant loses all it's major nodes along the main stalk it's over. The stalk itself will start to dry out next. Chilehunter, you might want to add some cfl lighting along with Willard's other suggestions.

    any suggestions ?

Ya the one on left looks pretty rough, he might not make it. The one on the right could come back though.

    Habman's going Hydro!

Cool, it looks like the flora stuff is what comes with the ecogrower so I should be set. I might swap out the micro for micro-hardwater since that can be an issue up here but we shall see what happens with the regular micro first. Thanks guys,

    smoking brisket help

If you want to kick up the above recipe a bit without chilies you can add a shot of Jack Daniels to cider. Gives it a great flavor and really compliments the smoke.

    Chocolate Habs/Devil's Tongue

Thanks Red, Those are just the Jiffy spagnum / peatmoss pellets that I used. This year I plan on using rock wool cubes to see of those work out any better. The Jiffy's do alright but I hate having to try and get the mesh off the outside of them before I plant. The roots are supposed to grow...
