Lots of people here in florida dump there used grinds near there palm trees it keeps pest at bay and keeps the palm from catching certain diseases. it also decomposes in the soil around the plant adding nutes slowly. I add it to the foliar spray to help keep pest off not sure how well it works...

Good stuff i like to add little pinch of coffee grinds or bit of second brewed weak coffee in mine when I spray. Really good to use a day or so before a transplant also. If you dont refrigerate after opening (atleast the brand i got) you well get fishy smell and bloating of the bottle because...

i like maxicrop and use a 1/4 cap full per quart spray bottle. Refrigerate after opening if you can. I spray every 2-3 weeks also with teasponfull Epson salt mixed in

If i were buying plants i might pay 10-12 bucks for a super hot in a 1 gal pot. But 4" is just outta seedling stage so maybe 8-10 bucks in 4" starter pot Hab's i would not pay more than 4-7 bucks depending on size and variety. Good louck on your quest!
