Buy the peppers and get the seeds direct. If they are Hungarian hot wax peppers most places sell them cheap.- MiChris

harvesting How do you use your harvest?
I use mine as an addition to my pickles to spice them up and also put them in salsa. Pepper jelly / jam works great as well. Any that I have left over I freeze. The frozen ones I use mostly in cooking so I haven't noticed too much of a mushy problem. This coming year I plan on having a lot more...- MiChris

Tomato sprouts getting too tall!
In my opinion you need to get them closer to the lights, perhaps around 3". That's where I keep mine, maybe even a bit closer than that. -

Hmm, I've never had that issue with my tomatoes unless they weren't getting enough light, or if they were too far from the light. I transplant my tomatoes once they get their second set of true leaves. -

Weather
We have about 18" on the ground. The storms appear to missing us as there's only a few more inches forecasted for the next few days but there's always a chance we could get hit with lake effect snow off of lake Huron. Very cold too. Growing peppers sure is a good way to keep spring in my head...- MiChris

Wow, I would be heartbroken. That might be enough for me to hang it up so good for you jumping back in. I felt bad I decapitated one of my seedlings this morning trying to remove its helmet. Puts it all in perspective. -
