chinense MOA Scotch Bonnet vs Aleppo

I'm thinking about buying some seeds to grow some bonnets or maybe Allepos, I want to know your thoughts on them.  I've heard the MOA tastes amazing and I've also heard the Allepos are darn good.  Tell me your experience with either of them, or both.

Why not cross a variety again?

I was thinking if people wanted a different phenotype than what the creator had.

Leaves hard, wrinkled and not growing

Too high temps, deficiencies, low or high nutrients.  I think I've had it before, try watering a little more and hold the nutrients if using any.

    breeding Q & A about pepper breeding / crossing

Q1: Grow those seeds, they are crossed.   Q2: Collect the seed the following year as long as you isolate them from other varieties so they don't cross again.  You can let that plant use it's own genetic material (self pollination), but back-crossing is when you cross you plant back with a parent...

Why not cross a variety again?

If someone had a very special, maybe even world record breaking chili and the first generation seed was highly sought, why not follow the cross the creator did?  I'd expect the stable parents wouldn't have enough genetic variability to cause too many extreme differences.  I dunno, but someone...

    chinense Chocolate Bhutlah seeds

The end agreement says I can't reproduce the seed, which plants do naturally.  I'm not even allowed to give someone a plant without express written consent.

    chinense Chocolate Bhutlah seeds

Is there any reputable places I can buy chocolate bhutlah seeds besides puckerbutt?  I know it's probably not the same strain but I am fine with that.

storage Best way to store seed?

My idea to store seed is to mix my pepper seed in with uncooked white rice in a film canister to absorb and keep water out.  Good idea or not?

    breeding Pepper cross

I cross a chocolate hab with a jalapeno.  The seeds I took grew into 2 small plants, they have fuzzy stems and leaves (still seedlings), is this a good sign it worked?  The mother doesn't currently show these attributes, the (established large) daddy does.  What do you think?

    Pepper reaction help

So how do I prevent my intestines from feeling like they're burning from the inside?  I ate a habanero the other day, and for the first time (about an hour after) I could feel this burning, aching sensation in my intestines.  Call it cap cramps, cramps or whatnot, but this HURTS worse than the...

    Pepper stingers

What are the theories behind stingers?  I have a few chocolate habs that have curved stingers, I also have some jalapenos that have stingers.  I suspect it may be the flower tube becoming a new tissue, what are your thoughts?
