I've been bad about updating the glog, but things are going well in Georgia. The weather has been good, the bad bugs have been absent, no slugs, and we have a great start again. Here is a little You Tube update.

If you are planning to keep seeds from pods, I advise that you do not dry the pods in your dehydrator. First, the seeds can't take the heat if you happen to use the heating function. And even without the heating function turned on, the quick drying of a dehydrator just isn't good for the seeds...
These plants will go into the ground and into outdoor containers around April 10th. I actually used to go with part of my plants in late March but came to believe that that is just too early. The plants are just going to sit there until some warm nights arrive so why take the frost risk...
I use a very very dilute solution of Miracle Grow and ice cold beer once the plants develop their second set of true leaves.
When I water, I water with the dilute Miracle Grow solution.
I drink the beer.
Everybody has a different opinion and most from folks on this forum will indeed work...

May be hard to see here. I grow essentially all of my plants in homer buckets. No holes in bottom. Six holes (5/8" or so) in the sides at the bottom.

An update on this topic. At this point, I would say that the offspring from the plant I am trying so hard to preserve in it's true form is looking much like its parent from 2014. Below is a side by side comparison. These photos of course are before any pods ripen. More will be known when...
