    Anyone buy plants from Hirt's?

I've bought some seeds. They germinated okay and seemed to be what they were supposed to be. But customer service is not that impressive. I ordered a "5 favorite peppers" variety pack where the seeds were dyed to distinguish the different varieties. But there was no key which was which, and...

    chinense I Want Bhut Jolokia's

I've got a bunch of Bhut seeds...I got them from someone who had grown Bhuts and was sure they hadn't outcrossed, since he grew only Bhuts and only indoors. I've gotten good germination out of them, but no pods yet so I can't 100% verify they are what he says.

smoking anyone ever tried smoking with pepper "wood"?

It's true peppers aren't botanically trees, but it's the same physiological process that makes the woody growth at the base of peppers. Some folks say blackberry bush "trunks" work well for smoking, so I think woody pepper plants might be worth trying, just wondering if anyone could tell me...

smoking anyone ever tried smoking with pepper "wood"?

I have a few pepper plants that didn't make it through the winter, but grew pretty substantial woody bases last year. I'm thinking about using chunks of their "wood" in my smoker just for kicks...anyone ever tried this before?
