    Pumpkin Not Fruiting Question

Ok I have some pumpkin plants on the go but the damn buggers aren't producing pumpkins. I get heaps and heaps of flowers but they just drop off. I've tried hand pollinating and that doesn't seem to help and other plants never have issues. Towards the base of the plant leaves have started to die...

    sun Sun Time

I have a question on sun time actually as well sorry to hijack. Just wondering as i have to come to a compromise due to shading at different times of day when would be best for plants to receive sunlight. I think I have 3 areas that get roughly the same amount of sunlight 6-8hours for example...

    Aquaponics

Very cool, I reckon one with yabbies would be awesome too. Wish I had the room to do it, how much do you approximate that its worth to get started up? I'll have to see if the old man would ever think of doing something like that as he always try to keep a lot of bait yabbies for fishing anyway...

Nee's first pepper season. (Australia) Pics, vids & banter.. yey! \\(^o^)//

Yeah it's my first time too and i understand the eagerness to start early (I had to join up here so I could stop chewing the GF's ear off though I think now she is jealous). Only reason I was asking about light is because of the 4 or so months we have to endure before things pick up again is...

    GL2 - TSBT & Y7P in Jiffy's in W.Australia

Not sure it its the same with chilli's but I'm quite certain they are fine to plant straight away but you want to get rid of the surrounding membrane because it inhibits growth. The drying process is to stop mould and and rotting over a period. Edit: Carn the Pies :D

Nice glog, I'm testing out the title of the "Sunshine State" for it's ability to grow over winter. I think it's a good idea documenting it because when i originally came on here it was to see if someone had much success up here over winter because I'm new to the area. Hows the lighting...

    pests Pest Prevention

Might have to look into that, I wonder how good they are at staying put. Trying to keep insecticides to a minimum as I found my plants are being pollinated by a few blue striped native bees which are pretty cool to look at than your average bee.

    oops.....

I have mutant tomatoes growing from seed from shop bought tomatoes that were tossed in our compost and I'm assuming spread by wildlife to my garden bed. I'm interested to what they will turn out like, some look true to form but others look like those heirloom tomato varieties.

Is there a reason the tomatoes are lined along the edge? Or are they in containers or something?

Great idea, definitely keep updated as I've got a serious caterpillar problem and I've self with the help of google identified them as belonging to moths.

That reminds me of a giant parsley plant/bush that we had when I was growing up it must have been well over a meter high and wide but my mind could be exaggerating it here. Good stuff my parsley growing is severely hampered by possums damn things.

    Pepper Flavours

Thanks for the heads up I think i should just start writting them down when I actually do hear something because I just have the worst memory. I guess I could always hound the sellers but due to very limited knowledge I'd probably have to ask about their whole range. I'll check out Beaglestorm's...

    Cheese Making

Heya I was just wondering if anyone out there has ever done cheese making I was checking out courses available around me and I think for a few classes it was like $400 or so (not cheap but it sounds like a good course). Just curious as I thought it would be pretty cool if people had given a try...
