I here the fishing is really good up there at Lake of the Boat Docks LOLOL
Seriously you can catch alot of fish just below Bagnell Dam when they are generating. Lots of crappie there
Anyone into bass fishing? I used to fish almost everyday then stopped fishing but now I got me another boat and back into it again.
Here is a pretty good fish I caught on Bull Shoals Lake
Yeah there's no comparison. I'm gonna try some new things in my mater juice next year. My goal is to make the best juice this side of the Miss River lolol :D
Seriously though, that little recipe in this thread makes some very good juice. I am telling all my friends that I am almost out. If I...
The Rocoto plants can get rather large and knarly. I actually grew some pods on my 2nd year plants that I overwintered last year. The Rocoto plants are probably the ugliest of all the peppers I have seen but are also the tastiest IMO
The Longhorns couldnt beat our high school team this year...
I had 5 maters growing in my greenhouse but i didnt have enuff heat so they got zapped by the super frigid weather we have now. I'll get better heater and try again.
I'm near Bull Shoals Lake. I live near Ava. Ever hear of it?
Hello Vincent my good friend :)
Yeah I'm still alive just too busy to have as much time online as I once did. I'm really impressed with your pepper collection Vincent! :)
I saw it on your site. BTW, Nathaly says hello to you :)
Anyone like mater juice? Its some wonderful stuff especially this time of year. It goes great with beer or vodka or just by itself. This is how I make some good juice that I think you all will like
To make your own tomato juice you obviously need some tomatoes, a wonderful little invention...
Howdy Everyone!
It's been a loooong time since I have been here. My daytime and night time and every other job I have has been keeping me extremely busy these days! Just got off the phone with my good friend Patrick so I decided to post here for the first time in forever LOL.
As most of you...
I am back home now and actually glad to be. I have some seeds of the peppers and other veggies to try next year. Cant wait to plant the Yellow Rocotos.
For those of you that grow Rocotos, it is best to plant them very early. Like in November! They are grown up in the cooler areas of the...
This is how the Rocoto pepper is used here in Peru. They make a sauce with it and it is then used to spice up your meal. You use as much as you want or as much as you can handle which is my case LOL
Today the Rocoto sauce was used to spice up a soup known here as San con chado. You also...
I didnt see any wildlife however I didnt get too far off the beaten path. The air is so thin there and the altitude so high that it is hard to do much walking up there. It makes the Rockies look like mole hills LOL
This is the town of Huancayo. I felt like I was at the end of the world up there. You are seriously a long ways from everywhere here. The closest place of any significance is Lima which is about 6 1/2 hours away.
I am just sick that this pic turned out to be blurry. It is the church on the...
This was the highest point we went into the Andes. This was on the way to Huancayo. I nearly passed out in the bus from the altitude and thin air. It was truly a beautiful place though
