cloning Anyone keep clones this year?

Got types of keepers this year? Superhots..I'll talk about mine but wanna hear what you've kept. This should be a fun topic.

    Best tasting superhot?

Brown Moruga for hearty robust "brown" flavors.  Very rich and hearty...totally it's own flavor.  Not really comparable to other flavors I've found besides other brown pods of similar shape (not much tail--my favorite has an innie and is wider than it is long).  Best burn too...goes right to the...

    cloning Cloning Moruga Keeper...any tips?

Nah, that plant got attacked just like the rest but shows superior vigor to bounce back after multiple stripping of it's leaves.  I had two Superhots survive that are both extremely vigorous.  No nursery cuts could hang with the punishment my rats dished out.  They looked great until the rats...

    cloning Cloning Moruga Keeper...any tips?

So I planted thousands of seeds and after going through a rat storm multiple times I was left with only a few extremely vigorous varieties that could recover from being completely stripped of leaves repeatedly.  I have so many rats I hear them fighting at night and even during the day.  All the...

fertilizer Crazy Psychotic Homeowners Association or What Fertilizer to use?

I wouldn't be able to deal with that!  But kelp smells much less than fish emotion...Just slightly smells like seaweed but can't smell it after I water.

    White sprouts?

Yes I was.  I only went to Tokyo for a weekend and had a great time.  It was much more rural where I was at.  Lots of amazing nature spots and hot springs.     I know you got a nice season over there...the latitude is almost the same as here in SoCal.  But with more humidity which the plants...

    White sprouts?

Good point, although in nature the seedlings can sometimes start under a bit of shade as well like a tree.      I can't totally tell from your photos but I had a whole batch of Morugas that were somewhat pale and stunted.  They weren't totally yellow like yours but very pale green and yellowish...

    Wetting Sphagnum

Use warm or hot water.  I mix mine in a bowl by hand first to get to the right moisture level and for that I don't even worry about the temp...but the hotter the water the faster it will absorb.

pruning Topping plants at a young age.

Mr Burning seems to know what he's talking about.  Wait for the right growth stage otherwise your just throwing up an obstacle for the plant.  Also you only need to top the very end of the plant even when it is a bit bigger...just enough to sever the main stalk at the very end in order to...

Is there any alternative to limestone

http://organic-fertilizer-tips.blogspot.com/2011/05/dolomite-lime-why-using-lime-is.html   Here is a good link I just found which helped me understand dolomite a bit better.  Pretty much what Proud Marine Dad said. Sounds like a good idea.  Might become a new hyped up plant supplement :)   Only...

Is there any alternative to limestone

Great info...I didn't know that.  Gives me a bit to think about in my mix.  I do add some Azomite as well which is mostly calcium based but mainly added for micro-nutrients so that might inadvertently balance it out.  I don't use too much of either...so where do you get your Oyster Shell flour...

Is there any alternative to limestone

Why's that?  I use it in my mix and never noticed any bad effects.   Oh man!  lol  Please don't try that :)

old promix is soggy - what to add?

I reuse soil indefinitely.  When reusing it for a long time you start to learn that drying it out in between watering is a very good idea.  You maintain a good beneficial bacteria and fungi that work with the roots.  These are all Aerobic which means they need oxygen to survive.  Roots like...
