    indoor My indoor tent setup

Thanks. Sometimes I have issues with temperature and that might very well be the issue with leave curling. In the meanwhileI reduced the temperature ;P   The only harvest so far was cayenne peppers (that I bought as ghost peppers seeds :/). They were my first plants though. I just finished...

Hi THP community,   Let me share with you my current setup after jumping into DWC recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeomGrspCw0   Overview: A greenhouse project that I’ve started where light, watering, air extraction, resistors, fan are controlled automatically based on time of day...

Pale leaves on Bhut Jolokia plants

Nice to know that nzchili. In fact new growth leaves are coming out dark green and the plants are starting to flower as well! :) From my limited knowledge I'd say the light green leaves comes from lack of nitrogen that might have happened in the past. Does that make sense?

Pale leaves on Bhut Jolokia plants

Hi.   I've been growing 2 bhut jolokias plants since April. A month ago a few flowers appeared on them but dropped quickly resulting in no flowers and or even buds on both plants. Now one of the plants (1) has flowers again and lots of good looking buds while the other plant (2) is having a...

    Buds not growing

Just a correction. I meant 18/6 instead of 18/4. In the meantime I've changed the light cycle to 16/8.

    Buds not growing

The humidity is around 40%. Night temps ~23ºC, day temp ~26ºC. This is a 250W HPS with good ventilation setup. Reducing to 12/12 seems a bit too drastic. Maybe I should increase fertilization frequency?

    Buds not growing

Looks like one of the plants reacted well to 2-5-5 fertilizer, although, the other one is struggling (I took a few photos of the later).  I also reduced the day temperatures to ~26ºC (79 F) but still this plant is not growing much.   Besides the dried buds, I'm also sharing a few findings: white...

    Buds not growing

Nice tip. 26ºC is the temperature I should aim during the day? What about night?

    Buds not growing

There are no flowers even :| The buds are having quite a difficult time to grow.   I guess I just need patience (and fertilizers ;P).

Sure. Forgot to tell one of the most important aspects: I'm using a HPS 250W (grow+flower lamp)

    Buds not growing

Hello,   It's been a few weeks now that I've been noticing this behavior of my two Bhut Jolokia plants: I see that lots of buds are trying to grow but quickly die (while still very small they look dried).   Conditions and tech: - Growing inside a 80x80x180 tent - HPS 250W (grow+flower lamp) -...

Brown / dried buds and leaf tip

I managed to reduce the day temperature to around 29ºC but still having the same issue, although it looks like new leaves are starting to appear (also, I removed a secondary stem from the plants to focus energy on main stem). Night temp is around 24ºC.   I'm using AutoPot watering system - can...

pruning Pruned/cutted a few split sections

Hi.   I have two bhut jolokia plants inside a 60x60x160 indoor tent and yesterday I decided to cut quite a few leaves and branches (halves of y split sections) to let the light (250W HPS) reach the middle of the plants. One of the plants was shorter than the other and was not getting as much...

Brown / dried buds and leaf tip

Isn't this temperature fine? Their natural habitat is actually around these values.

Brown / dried buds and leaf tip

Hi all.   I'm growing 2 bhut jolokia plants (~3 months old) inside a tent and while I was transplanting the plants yesterday I noticed that a few leaves have their tips brown and quite some (tiny) buds look dried (brown) and are falling. Overall the plants look healthy, except for these 2 facts...

    Bhut Jolokia leaves curling

Hi.   I have these 2 bhut jolokias that are growing quite fast but they have these leaf curling symptom that I can't seem to fix. I've tried to reduce temperature, watering frequency and add calcium. Nothing seems to help :( Any ideas if I should worry about it?     Thanks! João

    Strange looking Bhut Jolokias

That was very informative! Those peppers look like the ones I have and I can see that it's not uncommon for sellers to swap bhut with naga. That's 45k vs 1m scoville difference :/   I have a few seeds I bought from the same vendor (Carolina Reaper, Habanero Orange, Trinidad Moruga Scorpion)...

    Strange looking Bhut Jolokias

Definitely look like Cayenne. I'm so disappointed right now (not that I don't appreciate cayenne), but I was sold Bhut Jolokia. 3 months thinking I was growing one of the hottest peppers :(
