    seeds Transplanting Seedlings

When do you all typically transplant your seedlings to larger pots from starter trays/cells? Do you base it on things like number of true leaves, height of seedling, seedling age, etc? Thanks,

    Curling Cotyledons

I cut the light early tonight, so I'll check it in the morning and see if they opened back up. If they do, I'll raise the T5 and see what happens.

    Curling Cotyledons

I noticed a day or so ago the cotyledons on a couple of Jalapeno plants are starting to curl under. From what I'm finding upon doing some digging is as follows:   1. It can be normal when they start to develop their first set of true leaves. No idea if this is accurate. 2. Over watering 3. Too...

Habaneros, Jalapenos, and Black Jalapenos making an appearance. Some of the cotys look like they're coming together, trying to reach straight up. Is this because they're trying to get closer to the light source?

    T5 Light Spacing

Picked up an Agrobrite 4 bulb 4' light (54w 6400K bulbs) to hang on my steel seedling rack. Any recommendations on distance I should maintain from the plants? Thanks,

A new hot pepper database - with an emphasis on keeping track of names and varieties?

Why not use something in google docs or onedrive that everyone can have access to, but limit the edit permissions to where they can add but not modify existing entries.  I might have a sharepoint guy who can give me some idea, but we're not a DBA by any means.

I'll have to give that a shot. Is there a period of time where you have to let the seeds rest, or can you go straight from freezer into a napkin/bag or soil?

seeds Super hot paper towel germination

How long does it typically take for super hots to start to sprout when using the paper towel/ziploc method? I've read that it can take multiple weeks at times, but what have most of you experienced? At day 6 my jalapenos, seranos, and habaneros have started to sprout, but nothing yet from the...

    Hello from Florida

Hello from Florida. I'm new here, and new to the world of hot peppers. Since my wife recently had me fabricate her some raised beds, I figured I'd make one for myself and grow the hot stuff. Lots to learn and this forum appears to be the best place to gather knowledge.  Thanks in advance! - Steve
