    Unexpected Win!

Awesome dude. Congradulations! I had something similar happen to me with the NY state fair last year. I had entered a beer I made just to get some feedback on it. Ended up winning my catagory. Now yours give me the idea to try and enter some in my county fair if we do that. I will have to check...

    food HOT coffee

I have thought about trying this. All I have done so far is grind up coffee beans after making powder. It gave a little bit of heat. I'll have to try actually putting some peppers in this time and see how it comes out.

Where to buy Trinidad Scorpion Butch T pepper seeds?

Try the hippy seed company. They are a very reputable source for seeds. Also take a look at the vendor vault here to find other sources as well.

    good deal?

i agree with 3/5. I can get it for 5 bucks a 40 lb bag. Use the money on something else. Maybe try some bat guano instead or the ocean forest as suggested.

    What are you?!?

I'd say they are about as prolific as a jalapeno plant.

Picking Jalapenos ... Green, Red, or some of each?

I've got two jalapeno plants going at the moment. My plan is to have one plant be specifically for letting them ripen red and the other for just picking green when I want/need them. Seems like a good plan for now until I find myself in your shoes as mine are just starting to pod up.

They are called cherry bombs or sometimes hot cherry peppers. They are tasty. Great for pickling too!

Shane, thanks for the bump and the info on the aji. And to continue the pics. Here's some other non yellow scorps. I think a lot of the these are crossed with some type of bhut or naga. and some more on another plant that look more promising to be true, they actually have some tails I have...

    griff87's grow log '12.

Ok, it has been quite a while since I have updated my glog. The only good thing is that you can see the difference in the plants much easier. Quite a few are starting to pump out pods. I will show a few of those that have started but lets just take the overall look first! It looks a bit...

    Wana Brew Tea?

Ahh, shucks! I just tried making my first tea. I agree though that it should go to someone who hasn't tried it. If no one else responds I'll take a crack at the Xtreme gardening mix. Let me know and maybe we can work out a trade.

STC3248, Just Another Grow Log! Holiday Harvest!

Bump. I'd like to see some other pod pics. Sorry you have had a lot of nots. I know quite a few varieties came from me but I was a bit of a newb last year and did't do any type of isolation. I'm gonna try to this year on some of my true varieties. I as well have a few nots from seeds from pods...

    Cracked Pepper plant branch

Personally I have used painters tape but I have also seen a piece of wire to hold it together. From my experience the tighter you close the gap the better. After a couple weeks or so it should heal itself and you can undo the band aids.

Pepper thieves at the community garden

That sucks. Just because its a community garden doesn't mean that you can just help yourself. They obviously don't even care since they just ripped off whole branches instead of just picking them like normal. To bad you didn't have any supers there and like catherine said, they'd get a mouthful...
