I have thought about trying this. All I have done so far is grind up coffee beans after making powder. It gave a little bit of heat. I'll have to try actually putting some peppers in this time and see how it comes out.

Try the hippy seed company. They are a very reputable source for seeds. Also take a look at the vendor vault here to find other sources as well.

i agree with 3/5. I can get it for 5 bucks a 40 lb bag. Use the money on something else. Maybe try some bat guano instead or the ocean forest as suggested.

I'd say they are about as prolific as a jalapeno plant.

I've got two jalapeno plants going at the moment. My plan is to have one plant be specifically for letting them ripen red and the other for just picking green when I want/need them. Seems like a good plan for now until I find myself in your shoes as mine are just starting to pod up.

They are called cherry bombs or sometimes hot cherry peppers. They are tasty. Great for pickling too!

Personally I have used painters tape but I have also seen a piece of wire to hold it together. From my experience the tighter you close the gap the better. After a couple weeks or so it should heal itself and you can undo the band aids.

That sucks. Just because its a community garden doesn't mean that you can just help yourself. They obviously don't even care since they just ripped off whole branches instead of just picking them like normal. To bad you didn't have any supers there and like catherine said, they'd get a mouthful...

Bhut jolokias are thin walled and are not hard to turn into powder. I did it last year and plan to this year.
