    Leaf Burn?

These guys list japanese beetles as a pest for hungarian hot waxes--so seems they do.   So did you figure out what was the cause? Last week, I found some black stuff that oddly looks a lot like the stuff on your plants + acccompanied by missing chunks of leaves (something got at the peppers...

indoor How to grow peppers indoors - can they just sit in a windowsill?

Thanks Sluggy! I bought a humidifier since I don't have the time to be misting them every half hour.. ;)

    Leaf Burn?

If you have trouble finding the pests with your eyes, I'd also say maybe thrips.

    water Greenhous temperature/water?

85-90F during the day is good for optimum growth. At 95F, they stop producing pollen/it goes sterile. If they're in the shade with a good root system and  well irrigated they can take 100F, but with the sun glaring on them, the spot temperature is going to be much much higher on the plant...

container What Size container should I use?

To chime in, I agree with pretty much everything everybody mentioned above... but personally I think you need to pay more attention to maintain the right level of moisture right after transplanting if you use a much bigger pot. Just because the tiny rootball area can dry up while most of the...

pruning Cappy pruning and cloning 2014

Hope more of the cuttings take, great plan to preserve good strains. If it's of any help, I've had better luck initially starting in water. Also make sure the cutting has been made right at a node where the meristem cells will more readily convert to roots.   [edit] forgot to mention that I'd...

    Discussion on Natural Growing/Farming

Sorry for my ignorance--what is natural growing? That kinda sounds like just sitting back and doing nothing...but I'm guessing that's not what you're getting at.

    A Question On Pheno

sp33d, no sweat, everybody knows their own field better and nees initiation to new terms.   I think it would be better put as the specific expression of the combination of genes carried by the individual, or plainly: the way it actually is on the outside, in comparison to the other possibilities...

Water plants that I am growing both tropical and other.

Wow, lovely! I tried growing an egyptian lotus once. It sprouted but just died while the stalk was in the process of emerging from the seed. You must have some talent with water plants!

Resurrecting an old thread because I just dug up my corms after a first year of growing saffron and could use some tips for a better crop the year after. So, I planted 40 last september, 4 just rotted without ever breaking the turf, about half of the rest flavoured my paella and risottos...
