I wiped all tools and surfaces with rubbing alcohol then flam sterilized my needle and injected. After each container I flame sterilized. After each injection I sterilized with alcohol. I didn't have a glove box to do all this in otherwise I would have.

I'm really nervous some mold is going to show up... I took the best precautions I could though so hopefully nothing will...

I plan on trying to grow them on some cardboard that's been sterilized in boiling water when the jars colonize. That and maybe some coffee grounds.

Can anyone offer any advice or have I not given enough information as to what it might be?

One sprout looks like it has purple veins running through it. I've heard this is sun burn? Another couple sprouts are yellowing a bit. Does that mean they need more light? Too much light? I have some young sprouts mixed in with the old. Should I be running my lights 16-8? Will that not be enough...

Maybe I'll give that a try. I also want to make liquid culture jars and try my hand at that since spores die in hydrogen peroxide but mycelium doesn't. That way I can make a sterile substrate with h2o2 and put some mycelium in it and don't need to worry about contams as much. As for the brf I've...

Yep. Brown rice flour cakes. Work like a charm every time. Easiest and most fruitful thing you can go with for the effort it takes to make them. It only took me around 1 hour to make the jars and that included grinding the rice and going and checking my instructions multiple times. Only thing...
