SKULLBIKER'S "Whats old is new for 22 glog"

Unfortunately that link is riddled with inaccurate information. There are hundreds of species of "Hawk Moths" around the world. They are also known as Sphinx Moths and Hummingbird Moths (although only one species officially has that common name). Of the several dozen species that live in the...

    Jesse’s attempt at a 2022 glog

I believe it’s a 3 gallon, it’s not a typical shape, being tall and skinny compared to other pots.

    Jesse’s attempt at a 2022 glog

Pusa Jwala. I decided to cull the “mother” plant as it seemed to be in a slow decline after a year and a half of producing hundreds of peppers for me. Hopefully it’s offspring (this one) is just as prolific.

pests Best flowers to plant with pepper plants?

If you want something useful and that attracts loads of beneficial insects (and other pollinators), grow cilantro, dill, fennel, or parsley, or any of the other Umbelliferae/Apiaceae. Allow those plants to flower, as the flowers attract Syrphid (Hover) flies, Lacewings, Ladybugs, and other...

    Curry peppers 2022

When I used to live in West Lafayette, IN I started my C. chinense around the last week of February or 1st week of March. I started everything else mid to late March. The spring winds in Indiana are brutal! The hot and humid summer weather with warm nights certainly resulted in all pepper...

    DF 2022 Glog

I've had much better luck using lacewings than any insecticides or ladybugs. It's kind of annoying distributing the eggs and hoping they don't blow away, but once you get a couple larvae on a plant the aphids gradually completely disappear. They aren't resistant to being munched on.

issue Leaf curling downwards, newgrowths are deformed and brown at the tip and then turn necrotic

I don't believe the pests are what is causing the growth issues. Definitely appears to be some sort of nutrient/soil/medium issue. I have had the same issue with certain growing mediums. Once I changed growing medium, I had no more issues. If you aren't able to get a different growing medium, or...

annuum Frost hardiness of chiltepins from the SW US...

The answer is no, they don't survive in those zones, and they aren't found in the higher elevations, only in low elevations, and where there is adequate moisture. I grew chiltepin in my garden in Phoenix. It would go deciduous in winter, regardless of temperatures. One winter had very little...

chinense Bhut Jolokia, aka Ghost Pepper, the New Mainstream Super Hot Pepper

The ghost pepper also doesn't have anybody claiming it to be their pepper, fraudulently or not. So companies and marketers don't have to worry about those legal/financial ramifications.

    annuum Challeano.. Really an Annuum?

I was a member years ago, it used to be the only way you could use their exchange/expanded catalog. Now you can buy from the exchange without membership. I've gotten a few cool things from the exchange...some different Indian chillies that they don't put in their annual printed catalog.
