Hey guys, new fermenter here - I made a pepper mash about six months ago and let it sit in my pantry. The process is done, as far as I can tell, but there's a colony forming on the tippy-top about a quarter in diameter. What do you think?    

  Bottom-watering these puppies - I probably have fungus gnats in my grow setup so I am working on getting those taken care of. I think they have too much water, though - it's the only thing I can think of.

  They're plenty watered - all the plants get the same watering, and the soil is wet and the pot is heavy.

Well I gave the plants an inspection with my magnifying glass and saw nothing unusual under or on the leaves. Weird. So, I just stuck them outdoors since the weather is nice and figure I'd let them sort it out themselves!

Quick update for you guys, not much going on at the moment.   Here are some of the plants I gave to my parents and planted in their homemade compost - they are doing very well!     And the harvest...     Meanwhile at my house:      

I went ahead and gave them a hit of Cal-Mag for science and sprinkled out some bone meal for the tomatoes. I haven't watered the plots for about 3 days or so and it seems like the plants are improving a little - perhaps there was just too much water, like you solid7 said.

Time to make a little powder out of these chocolate brain strains!
