    greenhouse Can't find good greenhouse

Build your own with scraps, just buy some heavy duty foil. The cheap pop up types generally only last 2 seasons and crumble.

Hmm looking good! Nice and dark green foliage, they look happy. I noticed the cap 217 and rocopica, does it mean you finally got my seeds or did you happen to get some more of those? Really curious because I'd like to start shipping some more seeds to the US. About a dozen came through fine.

    smokers Big Green Egg

It's in metric, but also cups and spoons. They are different from US ones. But feel free to try a US recipe on Apple pie in the meanwhile. Just make it in a casserole dish. It's not pretty (you have to scoop it out) but it's damn good. If you do it in your Weber, spread a ring of coals around...

    smokers Big Green Egg

Bak her a "woodoven" Apple pie (indirect on the grill, in a ceramic mould).. If she's into that stuff she'll make you buy a charcoal grill : -) I have some good recipes for cake, pie and little sweet stuff. I'll have to translate the sizes, heat and text from outlandish to 'murrican, so I'll...

    smokers Big Green Egg

A Friend portion packed some charcoal in ziplock bags for his GF. She simply moves them around with a stick. He has a special tool to remove the fire ring etc, she also didn't want to get her hands black. But now he comes home to a cold beer and a lit Primo and his wife cooking up some things on...

    smokers Big Green Egg

Are you sure? Isn't it overkill for hot dogs? : -) I love the large version. The XL is too large imho and the mini just doesn't cut it either. Though the budgetary commission (i.e. the she boss) won't Let me buy one.

It's burned by sunlight, at least that is how it looks. Did you try to provide it with more sun by putting it in the full sun?

    greenhouse Greenhouse project

Some more pics (else it didn't happen). I worked on the roofing of the greenhouse. Opted for large panels that will also be covered with foil, they can be lifted horizontal to vent on the north side (wind usually hits from the S/SW/W here). I added an extra 28mm (1 inch and a bit) stick to help...

    greenhouse Greenhouse project

What can I say, like the old one always said.. you need a nice place if you want to bring chicks home, you need a nice place. Though not entirely sure if he meant chickens...... Thanks for the compliments guys, it was a day well spent.

    greenhouse Greenhouse project

Little photo update, still need to put a roof on it and need to place the foil. Also build the chicken coop (prefab stuff from planks and some pine beams) with some roofing. Also need to add some more diagonals in the greenhouse, but my arm is numb.. so..             The living part of the...

    Need Advice

Their are plenty of mixes that will work. Just make sure it's a mix of the following components (some ingredients are multipurpose); Nutrients; Manure, Coffee grounds, worm castings, calcium. Soil loosener; Rice husks, composted hay/horse manure, shredded leaves, a little scoop of course...

Lol extinct? They are very common in all west and Central european countries, they are even overpopulating as they barely have natural enemies. They reproduceren like.. boars. That photo is a typical hunting photo, sit 1 yard behind the thing and it looks bigger. It's still huge though. They...

    When to stop giving nitrogen?

I have to agree with juanitos. Your plant will always grow and will need to replace damaged foliage, so is in permanent need of some nitrogen. What people tend to do wrong is to go with a very high nitrogen feed (usually liquid universal plant feed meant for indoor plants or with high nitrogen...

    Scovie's Shenanigans.

Yeah, most of them here are US made ones from the 40s-50s that have been in use until the 70s by Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, France and Italy. They are almost always been refurbished (new barrel, wood, repairs etc) and are often far from pretty. We do have a lot of brand new 1903s...

    Scovie's Shenanigans.

Haha, I know.. Though a 5,56 with vmax is even more spectaculair. You can also buy discarding sabbots to load 5,56 in 7,62. Imagine what that would do. Love garands, unfortunately they ask 1500 euro for a old used one over here. Love the M14 and M1A as well. Though nothing beats a G3 with...

    Scovie's Shenanigans.

They usually come in sixpacks.. or do you mean the 30-06? : -) Guess a vmax or blitzking does the trick in a 5,56×45, and a 7,62×51 or 7,62×63 will probably not even deform before leaving the Kermit/Vermit or what ever.. But that's not te point. Kadaboom sounds better than POP.

Papas a la Huancaina works great with canned baccatum paste.. It's taters with spicy cheese sauce.

Says the guy with a 5,56 : -) (scruff dirt.....check safety on 7,62x63..) REBEER (after ruining the pensylvanian var'mitzvahs of course, let's stay responsible)

    Help needed

Yes, also a lot of names are still German/Austrian, like Aufmesser and Schneider. You can clearly spot those surnames amongst the typical romanian names ending with "u". Most of the mountain areas where clearly a lot poorer than the urban areas. Buildings were often in very bad shape...
