seeds Anyone ever use lizard heating mats to start seeds?

Yeah I have, and they work just fine :) in fact I just started germing some bhut seeds for my indoor grow. If you want to splash a bit more cash I guess you could buy one of the lizard thermostats as well...and just tape the sensor to the heat mat. I guess its a bit much just for starting...

    how old is too old?

I have a Cheyenne F1 that was given to me as a fully formed, producing plant and it is in its third year with me, so it is at the very least 3 years old, if not 4. All I have done to it is for the past few years is to trim the roots a little, put into a smaller pot and prune it back from this...

Looking for a thread about girlfriends/partners not liking hot foods?

@3/5 king Don't get me wrong, I very much appreciate that my chilli obsession is supported by my better half! I just want her to see that hot food isn't as terrible as she thinks! And believe me, it makes very me happy that she's willing to try differing foods :) as you said, I am lucky and I'm...

Looking for a thread about girlfriends/partners not liking hot foods?

Hey modder, thanks for the quick reply... It's not so much that she wont eat different types of food, as I've given her much encouragement ;). She doesn't and isn't willing to eat hot food often enough to build up any kind of tolerence which is a shame!

Looking for a thread about girlfriends/partners not liking hot foods?

Hey all, So I haven't been online for a few months and I thought this to be quite rude of me! There reason I'm back is because I've pretty much given up on trying to convince the Mrs to eat more hot food. Now don't get me wrong, she will eat moderately hot food...but to me it's just mild and...

    Naga Morich feeling the blues

They just look EVIL! Haha, plants look great though. I started my plants with a blue LED light, and then changed it to a more pinkish colour as I read somewhere that the red light is used in fruit prodution :) Mine aren't as far along as yours as I started about a month later.

    Just a quick question

Oh don't worry guys, I'm not panicing about it...was just curious! I gathered that there wouldn't be a great deal wrong with it, I just wondered if there may be a particular reason for it. Im using LED's and the light hits it all over so I don't think that's the problem. I shall post another...

    Just a quick question

Hello all :) This year I overwintered my 2 Habs and the scotch bonnet I grew last summer, one of the habs died pretty swiftly and the second tried to grow back when I recently put it back by the window and has since just turned brown :/ However, on a better note the SB has grown back nicely in...

Electric Propagator with CFL built in.

So yeah, pretty much as the title says! After a quick search on google and on the forum, I couldn't find any sources to buy heated propagators with a light already built in. I know its easy enough to get an electric propagator and just buy a light, however i was wondering if any of you...

    LED farming

Wow, a warehouse all controlled by computer with plants stacked up sounds amazing! That article is pretty interesting, I read it yesterday and it got me thinking about the 4 LED par cans that I have and use to light staging....in fact these are the ones. Ive got them set up with equal red and...

    Stressing Out a Plant

Last year I noticed that my plants that were outdoors produced hotter peppers than the ones grown indoor next to a window (plants of the same variety). I would imagine that this had something to do with the outdoor ones experiencing greater swings in temperature, compared to the inside ones...
