growing Chinese chilis (annums) on the stoop

Here's a pic of a recent harvest, mid-drying: http://postimg.org/image/tsshz6oxl/ The large bulbous ones are peri-peri's facing heaven chili. The little bulbous ones are the facing heaven/jalapeno cross. All of the rest are the regular skinny facing heaven chili from chili pepper Pete. That's...

seeds desperately seeking bulbous facing heaven seeds that germ!

Here's a pic of yesterday's harvest:   http://postimg.org/image/tsshz6oxl/ The seven large pods in the front are from the plant I grew from Peri-peri's seeds. They are not spicy (even less than I expected), but taste good.

health Whats wrong with these pods?

It could be bug damage. Stink bugs for example will cause similar spots.

growing Chinese chilis (annums) on the stoop

Hi guys, I finally took some pictures of my "garden," which is a small urban stoop that I have overflowing with chilis. Here's my gallery. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100803078451147.1073741825.604146&type=1&l=356b0c6012 What started as a rather desperate solution for...

seeds desperately seeking bulbous facing heaven seeds that germ!

Carolyn, welcome! My plants grown from seed from the Chilli Pepper Company also point downwards, but the ones I got from Peri Peri are the real deal. I have been tasting my first ripe pods and they are not very spicy at all, but I think that's how they're supposed to be. Anyway, the next time...

seeds desperately seeking bulbous facing heaven seeds that germ!

The last two pictures are the plants from the seeds you sent. It is now my only plant with large bulbous peppers, so I really owe you a debt of gratitude. The plant looks pretty much the same now - unfortunately my stoop doesn't really get enough light to get really productive plants, but I'm...

    superoot air-pots

I've used superroots airpots, and I recommend you consider using cheap grow bags instead - same idea but much cheaper and easier to water.

Chilidude - where did you get the Krakatoa seeds?  I've only seen seeds for sale of the narrow variety.  The conical variety seems to be for sale in the UK as a seedling/plant only, and I live in the U.S.   Nice log, thanks for posting it.  I also grow under LEDs.

container 2 plants in one pot 11-gal container?

Separate pots are always better, but if you're growing outdoors in toronto your season is not very long, so two plants should be okay.
