    My Overwinter Room

I didn't cut her down, I will just monitor her and see what happens. Maybe I will take a couple of cuttings anyway, shes an extremely large plant and very fast grower It would be a shame to lose this one. Almost all of my plants started flowering at the same time a week or so ago, I dont expect...

    My Overwinter Room

I think I will just assume the worst and throw it away. It's not worth risking my other plants that share the same room. I can take some cuttings from the new growth at the top which appears to be unaffected and keep them isolated until I'm sure there clean. Or just start some new ones from seed.

    My Overwinter Room

I tried to rub/squish them this morning they are fairly hard and dry and break up as I scrapped them off with my finger nail, I didn't get any juice out of them. I can see damage to the plant tissue where I have removed them it reminds me of pulling a scab off my body. I have checked all other...

    My Overwinter Room

The foliage looks even better when you find out that I have never had to feed them, they have been sitting in the same pots/soil mix since around may/June last year. They produced tons of pods in the summer and well into winter (after moving them indoors) it's been a mild winter without much...

I have these black bumps on the main stem of one of my devil's tongue over wintering plants. Anything to be concerned about?

    My Overwinter Room

I have this small grow tent/greenhouse for seedlings and cuttings, should I have the cuttings in there under the lights or should I keep them in the room with the ceiling light on until roots start to grow?

    My Overwinter Room

I took 7 cuttings from the top then cut her down just below that lowest branch. I will wait to see some new growth then I will repot it in a fresh soil mix and give the rootball a trim.

My first attempt at vodka chilli

Thanks for all the replies. Yes it is way to hot to drink and enjoy, it's like drinking pepper spray. I will definitely need to mix a little bit with a big bottle of vodka to make it enjoyable. I should have made a video when I tried it, it wasn't funny (for me) at the time but I'm sure I could...

My first attempt at vodka chilli

I have been soaking some Carolina Reapers, bbg Peach Ghosts, Dorest Nagas and Naga Vipers in a small bottle of vodka for a few days. I just tried about 1/2 a tsp and it's like drinking fire, I'm actually scared to take a full shot. Will it do any harm to leave the chillies in the vodka...

    My Overwinter Room

All my plants that I cut back are growing well with lots of new growth all over.... apart from this 1 carolina reaper which has only has new growth from the top. The plant is about 3.5ft of stem then the new growth starts. It doesn't look like anything is going to grow from the sides. If i grow...

    My Overwinter Room

Thanks, I'm confident I can keep them happy over the winter. My only concern is in the spring when they really start to take off and I have 30 almost full sized plants in the room and it been to cold to move them outside

Which 4 did you save? I will start a seed tray soon with some different varieties. The over wintering just gives me a massive head start on our short season.

    My Overwinter Room

I'm in Sweden, the outdoor grow season is fairly short and unpredictable. I mostly plant in pots so I can move them to the greenhouse, outdoors or into the house all depending on the weather. I was going to choose my best potted plants from this year and over winter them but when it came to it...
