chinense Want a C.chinense with zero heat???

I've grown out Tobaggo Seasoning 3 years, two different seed sources. No spice with mine.   This thread is the first i've heard anyone mentioning it being anything more than mildly spicy.   Just a friendly heads up.   Edit:: one of my Tobaggo seed sources, he is also one of the few decent seed...

chinense Want a C.chinense with zero heat???

No, the pods even look different, The Tobaggo is more oval and the Trinidad more pointy. I can't recall any of my Tobaggo's ever having any detectable spice <500 shu (mine were advertised this way), but i've heard one or two people mention mild spice.   - Tobaggo Seasoning - Amazon Chile Roma -...

    What do I have here?

Those are small green pods, you'll have a better chance of ID'ing them after they've finished growing and ripened.

    Confused

The second pic look like pepperoncinis, or at least a cross that retained some pepperoncini traits.   The first pic look neither like hot lemons, pepperoncini or habaneros <--- none of these types are annuums, and the pods in your first pic look annuum to me.

Sloppy gardening, now I need help

^^ yes, whether it is crossed or not. That's one of the ways that some of the Bhut colors were produced. Sometimes you'll have one single branch with different color pods than the rest of the plant.   People then grow out the seeds from isolated pods until the color/trait stabilizes. Sometimes...

Sloppy gardening, now I need help

Even the top right Bhut has a peculiar look to me, it may might explain why the bottom two turned out quirky.   If you did not isolate flowers last year, then i'm betting that one of your Bhut donor pods turned out to be crossed, and produced the two peppers at the bottom of the pic.   But, one...

    Gift from a colleague

The caps look similar on all of them, they seem like annuum hybrid/crosses. With hybrids, you can get a bunch of different shaped pods from the same parent.   If they taste better than average, then save the seed. Otherwise start fresh next season and pick up the types you like best; roasters...

7 pot Jonah x Pimenta da Neyde

Dulac that has to be one the nicest looking plants and pods i've seen, looks good enough for landscaping.   Hopefully you can stabilize a line to keep it looking like that. Looking forward to future updates.     Edit: Count me in, but only if you have enough after everyone else. I would update...

    indoor Gnats on indoor plants

Shouldn't interfere too much since they're an aquatic type that need a host, different life cycles etc.

    indoor Gnats on indoor plants

Joyner is right, and you'll find that using Mosquito Dunks will be a common answer.   Using it for a couple of weeks will break their life cycle.

Head start on next year/ Log/question

I see a new pepper hook in the center of that cup, and a germinated weed seed on the right side. Noah was right.   You can grow the weed out if you like, it may turn into a vegetable plant, but not one i recognize.

    Chili Focus

Ease? The way i use it, about the same for liquid or granular. The granular probably requires less applications though.   For Tomato-tone I scratch about 1/2 of it in, a little less than 1ft away from the stem maybe. The other half i'll spread around so it can seep in to the rest of the plant's...

shade Building a Shade House UPDATED FINALLY!!

Yes Pepperdaddler, my temporary makeshift cover this year was cube-shaped, and boy did i have to rig the plastic to keep it from dropping and collapsing.   A few of my plants were smushed for a good 6-10 hour at least :(, but i would prop them up afterwards and they turned out fine.   It was a...

    Help, 5 -6 plants died

That plant may make it, be sure to treat the top of the soil as Geeme prescribed earlier, especially near the base of the stem.

    chinense Giant Habanero?

Oh, my mistake. I thought that nice canopy was hiding a container, i see you are planted directly in the ground.   Quick draining you say? Then going by the looks of that plant and it's production, it must be good stuff to grow in.

    Help, 5 -6 plants died

Sometimes you can prop up older plants like that and they will heal after some treatment. After a couple of weeks you can remove the prop and they should stand on their own, it'll retain some of the scar tissue.   Geeme's advice is spot on, keep the top of the soil dryer, especially at the base...

shade Building a Shade House UPDATED FINALLY!!

Good stuff PepperDaddler, it even looks easy enough to disassemble / reassemble.   Next season, if you have any heavy spring rains to deal with, you can throw some nice thick 3.5mm plastic over it, strong enough to last a couple of seasons with part time use.   You just have to watch out for...

    chinense Giant Habanero?

That is one nice plant, and it's hard to argue with huge chinense pods. My guess is that it's one of the anonymous commercial varieties that have popped up over the years.   Couldn't help but notice the dirt underneath the container, that stuff looks like hard packed volcanic ash concrete
