I will let them dry out a bit. I felt like I was doing alright...soil seemed sort of moist but dry at least 8 inches down...leaves slightly wilting. If I dry them should they be alright? I meam looks like new branches are growing out everywjere regardless of color.
No and it looks like it is growing well. Soil looks wet mainly because i watered a day before picture and it is rainy/damp so i have them covered. The perlite mix I dont know. It was a READY TO USE mix... next time I wont make that noob mistake.
I didnt fertilize them because the potting mix said it had fertilizer (bags said Professional Potting Mix-bought at a local nursury) I didnadd some bone meal and sprayed with epsom salts once a month since planting outside...so twice.
Leaves are staying on. I don't think over water - as they get the same as the others and they are doing great. These 2 flowered and podded really early. The Scorpion produced two huge pods that I picked finally and vegetation started back. Assuming maybe all that work led to them draining...
Been looking at other yellow leave posts here... but my two plants seem to be doing something different. My Bhut Jolokia and Chocolate Scorpion have been getting a very bright neon almost yellow tint. The others look good. All have been treated the same... only difference is the two yellowing...
Arrived today. Fast and teeming with red and brown pods. Many more than I expected really. The picture is shy about 6 (including three big ones) because my father in law was visiting and immediately had his hands out when he saw what was in the box. Took a bite of a few... the Ghosts and 7Pots...
Had a similar situation with a Chocolate Scorpion. Finally picked the pods. All my other plants settled into transplant in 2 weeks and are loaded with branching at all nodes... my CTS has none. Since plucking, the tiniest green at one node finally. It's about 1-2 weeks behind the rest.
Thanks. Past few years we've had nice warm temps to mid October/Early November - so I have time. Still I think I will pluck these off now because the Reaper plants have growth at the nodes as do the other Scorpion (which has two leaves on each so I assume it is branching off.)
About how hot...
2 weeks ago I purchase some superhot plants from Cross Country Nursury (I picked them up, they were not shipped.) I transplanted them into 5 gallon containers. They all started off about 4-6 inches. Now they have all grown about 4-6 additional inches. I water about every 4th day (in Eastern PA...
It's so hard to pinch them. This is my 1st attempt. Ive pinched flowers from that Ghost... pretty soon it will be hard it has about 20 buds some crowning. The reaper and the other Scorpion are not showing much new growth...but a few green leaves near top.
So funny my other post today everyone said keep em. Im on the fence. They are very motivational. The Bhut I love its bushy form...I see really nice things in its future. These reapers are SLOOOW!!!
Again another first time grower, but the color of those leaves is nice. I have 1 hab plant that curls like that it was a cheapo Bonnies. The other 2 Bonnies look great, though one was attacked by probably flea beetles first night out. That one is now budding nice even though the leaves look like...
Thanks guys. Power outage here. I had to drag my plants in the cellar as it could hit 45 tonight. It will be back to 80s in a few days. So slow growing this week. I have half in 5 gallon puckle barrells. As a chef I get them easily. The rest in 3 gallon pots. Oddly the 3 gallon seem to be...
Hello. I have just started growing a few peppers as a summer project. Thought at first it would just be something to do while the kids played in the yard, but I've gotten quite interested in it. I will post pictures later and as they come but I decided to try to grow some superhots. I have 2...
