    hard as a rock....

Rent a trencher or even a jackhammer. I have hard ground too. While back I ran some plumbing around the house and thought "I'll save the $50 or so, can't be that hard" - ohhhh was I wrong. Hard dirt will wear you out fast!

yeah... Nothing wrong with your comment - I probably shouldn't go on rants, but some things have gotten tiresome since '88 when I moved here.       Anyways, found this:  http://www.nationalplantboard.org/laws/ the relevant laws by state

    shipping plants

I'm no anti-gun guy, I have several and I'm particularly fond of my really big one :) But even I think AZ is a little f*cked with its gun laws. First they passed a law that you could bring guns into bars if you have a concealed carry permit (which I do). Then they passed a law saying you dont...

?? I don't think it's unreasonable at all to expect more than 3 seeds and that they be intact. Thanks for your multiple, fair and thorough comments. I will not be ordering anything from that site. You probably saved me some disappointment.

    anybody growing hatch chili's?

I love hatch chiles. Every summer we get giant shipments to the grocery stores here (hatch is in new Mexico, AZ is right next to it for people that suck at geography like me). They end up selling them for 50 cents a pound. Somehow, I have had hatch chiles that rivaled store bought orange habs in...

I think only about 10% of SL's posts are something she hasn't posted before at one time or another, yet every time she goes the full mile and writes a novel. Class act

A Simple Microbe Tea Recipe and Its Effects

Ok I modified it so the steps aren't all separate; it's really quite simple. You can throw it all in at once here too, it can just be a pain to dissolve bouillon cubes without hot water sometimes.   The goodies can be pricey, but I've had the original bottles for over 2 years so they last a...
